Coronavirus in UAE: Dubai Parks and Resorts field hospital discharges last COVID-19 patients

00:00Dubai Parks and Resorts Field Hospital discharged its final coronavirus patient on Monday as

00:08the temporary health facility closed its doors for good.

00:12The 29,000-square-metre hospital first opened to patients on April 24 and treated more than

00:182,300 for COVID-19 during that time.

00:21The last batch, consisting of 17 people recovered from COVID-19, left the Emirates Field Hospital,

00:27Dubai Parks and Resorts amid a technical celebration prepared by the medical staff

00:32interspersed with flowers.

00:34Nour El-Din from Egypt was the last patient to exit the 1,200-bed facility and was waved

00:39off to the cheers of more than 130 doctors, nurses and volunteers.

00:43He went for a test and what happened is the result was positive.

00:51So the same day, they called and said, you have to isolate yourself, so you have to come

01:00here to the hospital.

01:02So we will send someone to take you from home or wherever you are to come here to the hospital.

01:08So I was well taken care of.

01:12People were very friendly, kind and nice to me.

01:19They were providing everything I needed, like if we're talking about medicine, food, everything,

01:26like if I want to rate it, I give it five out of five.

01:30So as I mentioned before, I want to thank each and every one, I want to thank the people

01:35who are responsible for this, for the country and as well for this hospital.
