Tourists land in Dubai as COVID-19 restrictions ease

00:00Good evening. It's July 8th, Wednesday, a day after the UAE has opened to international tourists.

00:06We're now here at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3. Some passengers have arrived from

00:11Toronto. So how's the situation? First, there will be someone who will meet the passengers

00:18and then they will ask them if they're tourists or residents. And the next question is, do they

00:23have this COVID negative result certificate? If yes, they will let them enter this line. And then

00:30if not, the usher will let them to another line where they will take their COVID test on site.

00:36So as we observe, there's many tourists coming from Toronto and we're waiting also from other

00:44tourists from New York. And then there's another flight tonight arriving from Chicago.

00:49I was supposed to come here in March. And then COVID happened and we were just waiting for it to reopen.

01:15Finally today, I came back to UAE to see my parents. I've been stuck in Canada since 26th

01:21of April, exactly. But finally today I managed to come back. So yeah, I'm really happy to be here.
