Bilston FC Looks To Become a Fan Owned Football Club

00:00My name's Jay Morgan, I'm the Vice Chair of Bilston Town Football Club.

00:03We're here today because we are launching the CBS, which means that Bilston Town Football Club

00:08are the first club in non-league football to become supporter owned.

00:12It means that we're closer to the community, it means that we've become the beating heart

00:16of the community, it means that supporters from all over the world, not just Bilston,

00:21can now buy shares within the football club and feel that they own part of their football club.

00:26Well I'm Pat McFadden, I'm the local MP and I'm the Honorary President of the club.

00:30This is a really exciting day for Bilston Town. I've been involved with the club for many years,

00:35this is a major step to turn it into a fan-owned club and put it on a secure footing for the

00:42future. So, you know, my huge congratulations to Jay, to the club chair Denise, to everybody who's

00:49worked hard to get us to this point and I hope it gets a really good response from the fans

00:54to buy in to the local football team.
