00:00The Department of Education thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

00:04following his contribution to the Ligtas Pinoy Centers Act.

00:07According to Deputy Secretary Sonny Angara,

00:10the new law will be seen as a game-changer

00:13not only in the fight against calamity, but also for education.

00:16It is expected that the new law will solve the long-standing issue

00:20of the use of public schools as evacuation centers whenever there is calamity.

00:24Angara also explained that the law will also help

00:27to bring back those who have been neglected

00:30after the experience of calamity.
