00:00The commemoration of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Malaysia was held at the Asian

00:04Center, University of the Philippines, Diliman. This event with a theme, 60 years of Malaysia-Philippines

00:11relations, deepening cooperation in a dynamic world, highlighted areas of potential collaboration

00:17between the two countries, particularly in regional security, economic cooperation, and governance.

00:23The Philippines and Malaysia also discussed aligning strategic goals in line with Malaysia's

00:28upcoming chairmanship of the ASEAN in 2025 and the Philippines' turn in 2026. Ambassador Dato

00:35Abdul Malik Melvin Castellino of the Embassy of Malaysia in the Philippines led this event,

00:40joined by the Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, embassy representatives, and professors.

00:47Malaysia remains committed to supporting the Philippines in its peace initiatives,

00:52as well as initiatives to develop the Bangsa Moro region and Philippine collaborative effort

00:57and cultural exchange. I would like again to express my deepest appreciation for everyone who

01:03took their time to attend this conference and I hope that the friendship and the connection

01:08that we developed today will continue to grow and nurture in the years to come for peace,

01:15progress, and development of our beautiful nations all around the world in our region.
