The new Aldi supermarket opened on Wigan Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield, on the former Arnold Clark site. Olympic medalist Bianca Cook cut the ribbon with pupils from nearby school, Nicol Mere Primary School, to officially open the store at 8am on Thursday 5th December 2024.
