00:00Update on the current programs and activities of the organization here in Mr. President on the go.
00:21First of all, my fellow countrymen, our President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally visited the victims of the fire on Isla Puting Bato in Tondo, Manila
00:31who are now being temporarily housed in the Del Pan Evacuation Center and Rosauro Almario Elementary School.
00:39The 2,100 families, in addition to the family food packs, blankets, and sleeping mats, received a total of P10,000.
00:50The said assistance came under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, also under the Office of the President.
01:01The priority of President Marcos Jr. is the safety of the victims of the fire that were evacuated and are currently being housed in the Del Pan Evacuation Center
01:10where our President personally visited their conditions.
01:16President Marcos Jr. also promised to continue distributing food packs and other assistance until their homes can be rebuilt.
01:25Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna ordered the distribution of timely assistance and support to the families affected by the fire.
01:34Meanwhile, fellow countrymen, President Marcos Jr. also prioritized the turnover ceremony of greenhouse and post-harvest facilities
01:43for our farmers in Lukban, Quezon.
01:46This is from the Korea Partnership for Innovation of Agriculture, an official development assistance program of the Rural Development Administration,
01:55the largest agricultural research and development organization in Korea.
02:01According to the President, because of the modern times, our farmers need to learn and get used to new technologies and methods.
02:11This includes seed production, which can help reduce the importation of the Philippines,
02:17and it can also select a variety of crops to be imported to our country.
02:22The greenhouses, seedlings, nursery, and post-harvest facilities in Lukban
02:27will help to increase the potential of 2,000 farmers, technicians, their families, and the community.
02:34According to the training from Korea and the participation of the project to farmers,
02:39not only private corporations will benefit, but also farmers and our fellow countrymen.
02:45According to Agriculture Secretary Francisco T. Laurel,
02:49technologies such as protective cultivation and greenhouse farming will be able to support year-round or season-specific crop production
02:58to ensure food security despite environmental uncertainties.

03:37so that the products of the country can enter the Korean market as pineapples and bananas.
