Former South Warnborough Post Office sub-postmaster Jo Hamiton talked to Long Sutton Primary School pupils about the 'love, courage and hope' she encountered and needed during her fight for victims of the Horizon scandal.

00:00It's the story of how a much-loved and trusted British institution

00:04amused its responsibility and shattered the lives of hundreds of ordinary people.

00:09Our local community have shown a lot of love to Jo over this really tricky time that she's had.

00:16And also, courage. I think Jo has shown tremendous courage for all the incredible things that she's been able to do.

00:25The judge put me on probation for a year instead of sending me to prison.

00:30When you got to the end of the day, it doesn't tell you how much money it should have in it.

00:35And when I did it, I phoned up the help desk and they just said,

00:40well, do this and this, whatever I did, it didn't change it.

00:44And so they said, well, you've got to put the money in.

00:46And Jo also has a huge amount of hope as well because she is still fighting

00:52because lots of people have not been paid yet the money that they are owed from the post office.

01:00There's 300 from our group still haven't been paid. And we won a call five years ago.
