00:1750 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps had a new income
00:24after they were taught how to make dishwashing liquids in a workshop led by the Department of Trade and Industry.
00:32The program aims to provide female beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program
00:37with additional income through small businesses.
00:41According to Elena Casidcid, Community Organizer Officer of Ujongan,
00:46the materials that were provided to the beneficiaries can be used to start their business.
00:53She also added that the use of soap is a way to provide a wider range of opportunities for the beneficiaries.
01:00The beneficiaries are very thankful to DTI
01:04because aside from making soap, they were also taught how to manage their income properly and how to make their business profitable.
01:13We are thankful because we were chosen to join this program so that we can learn how to increase our income.
01:28The Ujongan Business Center is also open to help the beneficiaries
01:34in improving their products through proper levels and packaging.
01:40They are also helping to register their business to become legitimate and competitive in the market.
