Shopper confronts suspected shoplifter trying to steal clothes worth £500

This is the moment an eagle-eyed shopper confronted suspected shoplifters - apparently trying to make off with a trolley full of supermarket clothes worth £500.

Daniel Jae Webb, 30, was doing his shopping when he spotted two women, who had a young child with them, acting suspiciously near the doors.

The women then proceeded to exit the Morrisons in Chippenham in Wiltshire undetected by staff - carrying a massive pile of clothes still on hangers.

Daniel stepped in to confront them while filming the encounter on his mobile phone.

They then became abusive and claimed they were simply leaving the store to get a trolley - before walking off empty handed.
