Immediately, the Department of Justice countered the statement of Vice President Sara Duterte

that she will file a case of violation of the Anti-Terror Law

because the government wanted to stop her properties and assets.

According to Undersecretary Jesse Andres, it is clear from the law

that the statements of the Vice President are a violation of the Anti-Terror Law or RA 11479.

But DOJ clarified that it is not considered a terrorist, VP Sara,

because this is a different process from the law.

The Department of Justice is doing this because they want to prove that justice is working in the country

and anyone who will go against this will be punished.

We are not doing this as a case against the Vice President.

But the Anti-Terror Law is based on the proposal to commit terrorism,

a conspiracy to commit terrorism,

and the very attempt to commit terrorism is already a criminal act.

This is a situation where we have to show that the rule of law applies to everyone
