00:00Immediately, the Department of Justice or DOJ condemned the statement of Vice President Sara Duterte
00:05that she will file a case of violation of the Anti-Terror Law
00:09because the government wanted to stop her properties and assets.
00:13According to Undersecretary Jesse Andres, it is clear that the law states that the statements of the Vice President
00:20are against the violation of the Anti-Terror Law or RA 11479.
00:25But the DOJ clarified that VP Sara is not considered a terrorist
00:30because she has a different process in the law.
00:32The DOJ is angry that they are doing this because they want to prove that justice is working in the country
00:39and anyone who violates the law will be punished.
00:43We are not doing this as a case against the Vice President.
00:49But the law of the Anti-Terror Law stipulates a proposal to commit terrorism,
00:58a conspiracy to commit terrorism.
01:03And the very proposal to commit terrorism is already a criminal act.
01:09This is a situation where we have to show that the rule of law applies to everyone
01:15and no one is above the law.
