Alton's Allen Gallery is hosting an exhibition of artwork produced by homeschooled youngsters. More than 40 youngsters aged four to 18 submitted work for the display.

00:00I painted how I feel about the world.

00:15I am basically fun being home educated and you get different learning opportunities as

00:23you would in school.

00:24I felt really good because it's really fun making art and seeing it displayed in a gallery.

00:31My name is Rae Retalit. I think it's quite exciting and also a bit nerve wracking because

00:40you don't know how they're going to react.

00:45I haven't stopped smiling really. It took me about a week to make. It's basically a

00:51carriage of people who have inspired me and how I see the world. I thought that was appropriate

00:57to put in a picture. I would love to be an artist. I really hope that I'd be an artist.
