00:17Residents of Silaki Island in Bulinao, Pangasinan are set to benefit from the Legacy of the Sea Project,

00:23a tourism development initiative under the Department of Tourism's Tourism Champions Challenge Program

00:29that promises economic growth while preserving the island's heritage.

00:45Funded by Php 15 million from the DOT and Php 12 million from the LGU,

00:50the project will include viewports, floating docks, a hanging footbridge, a mini experience center,

00:56and foot trails for unique and sustainable tourism experiences.

01:27The Legacy of the Sea Project, with a timeline of 25 months and 14 days,

01:31is expected to transform Silaki Island into a sustainable tourism hub,

01:35reflecting the shared vision of national and local governments
