00:00coaching carousel has already spawned a little bit and we've seen this now in

00:05the NHL we've seen some teams make changes early in the year in November

00:10and and gone on runs Edmonton did it last year and and it got them very far I

00:15was a little puzzled with Boston just cuz Montgomery's record was so good with

00:20them I'll be in the regular season but it's never good Danny when you fire a

00:24coach and someone else hires him less than a week later someone thought that

00:29your move to fire that coach was so poor that they fire their own coach to

00:35make sure that they can hire him before anyone else can and st. Louis wasn't

00:38playing well in fact I would have fired Bannister too because he's the only guy

00:42this season who wasn't able to come back in the third period against the

00:46Islanders everyone else comes back the Blues couldn't do it on Saturday so they

00:51they whacked them out and they go and hire Montgomery immediately what was

00:54that all about? The Bruins helped set an NHL record that's the quickest a coach

00:59has been hired after being fired five days Carver five days the guy had a 715

01:05points percent his record in in Boston team isn't that good they have

01:08deficiencies on the wing Swayman got paid as not playing like Swayman because

01:13he doesn't have the security blanket of homework it's a mess but you know to

01:17rile up the team what do you do you're not gonna trade three or four guys at

01:20game 20 so you fire the coach it's standard operating practice in this

01:24league that you get to the 20 game mark that's why you're starting to hear

01:27trade rooms that's why I see coaches start getting fired you know what

01:30happens is you make an assessment of the team your scouts go out there look

01:33around and so now you're at the quarter mark of the season still making the

01:36changes yeah look Jim Montgomery will have success in st. Louis I'm not sure

01:39how much because the roster isn't great but that was a shocking stunning firing

01:44by the Bruins Joe Sacco has coached in this league before as their head coach

01:48but we'll see the juries out in the Boston Bruins and Carver I don't think

01:51we would have said this a game one but a game 22 we're talking about the

01:54Bruins might be not making the playoffs I was actually just because I always

01:58have the odds up whatever the hockey whenever I'm talking to you and I can't

02:03remember the last time in the last five to seven years that the Bruins were 30

02:09to one or longer to win the cup and right now the Bruins are 30 to 1 to win

02:14the Stanley Cup this is a team as you know Danny that's usually in that that

02:19top you know 10 to 12 teams that are on the odds board and to see them nosedive

02:24that much that is very telling to go and see that
