00:00If you missed it, we're living under a rock. Here it was.
00:05The winner of Big Brother 2002 is Peter.
00:14Yes!
00:15Please welcome Peter and Marty.
00:30You've earned it, my friend.
00:59No, no.
01:00Put $250,000 in there, Peter.
01:02First and foremost, congratulations.
01:05Now, chatter to Ben, the winner from last year when he was evicted.
01:09Do you actually get the $250,000?
01:12Or after tax and everything, is it whittled down to $2.50?
01:16I haven't really thought about it yet, and I haven't seen any sign of that check.
01:21I'd start cracking it, buddy.
01:24No, I don't really care.
01:25Now, how was it for you, Marty?
01:27The second banana runner-up?
01:29How was it?
01:30It's always been away.
01:31I'm just trying to shout it out that way, I guess.
01:34But no, it's a good man to win it.
01:36And look, I just had a ball out there last night, walking out to that crowd.
01:40It was something else, and it was a great experience.
01:42You actually said that the walking out at the end in front of the crowd was going to be more
01:47of a rush than actually winning the $250,000.
01:49Yeah.
01:49The fact that you didn't, do you still believe that to be true?
01:53Well, I'm not sure.
01:54Then again, yeah, I didn't see the $250,000.
01:56But I've got a car, and I'm very stoked with that.
01:59It's a great little Holden.
02:00Love the Holden, Sander.
02:02Yeah, it's just a great car, and I hope one day I'll get to drive it.
02:06And how was the last 24 hours in the house for you guys?
02:10It was quick, very quick.
02:12We just sort of paid a bit of golf, ate a bit of mints, just the usual.
02:16Now, did you have to pack up?
02:18Did you have to clean the place up, demolish it?
02:19What did you have to do?
02:20We tried to clean, but then we thought we'd just leave it for someone else to do.
02:24Last day in the house and all.
02:25So we amused ourselves pretty well.
02:27We burned a few things.
02:28We lit a fire and chilled out in front of that for a while.
02:31Well, warmed up in front of that for a while.
02:32But it was great, and the day went pretty quick.
02:35And look where we are now.
02:36Yeah, well, very well indeed.
02:38Exactly.
02:38Congratulations.
02:38Now, Pete, did you have any inkling at all at going into it that you'd be standing here
02:43at the end in the first place?
02:46After walking through the doors?
02:48Absolutely none.
02:49How bored did you look when you first walked through?
02:52Everyone else going, oh, the big brother house!
02:54And you just looked and just going, mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm.
02:57It was paradise.
02:58It was unbelievable just walking in there and just seeing everything perfect.
03:01And then you could hear the crowd and the cameras moving, and that's when it kicked in.
03:08That's when it just hit you.
03:09So at any point during the course of the run, did you get an inkling that you might be a chance
03:14to win?
03:16After my name was read out, to win it.
03:20That's when I noticed.
03:21We actually got a fax halfway through on the TAB results, and so we sort of had a guide
03:26of how each other was going, and yeah, that gave us a fairly good idea.
03:30And also, Pete, how was it for you, those last moments in the house when Marty was out
03:33and they brought your brother in, which I thought was a nice moment?
03:37Incredible.
03:37I just heard your big brother say he's got another surprise.
03:41Heard those footsteps, and turned around, saw Tom, and it was what I'd just been thinking
03:48about the last two months.
03:51It was incredible.
03:51Yes.
03:51I just wanted to grab him and just hold him.
03:54Which is exactly what you did.
03:55And of course, if you...
03:56I haven't seen this, guys.
03:58You haven't seen this yet?
04:00I've seen this yet.
04:03I've seen this.
04:04He seems to be more excited than anyone I can tell who to actually be in the house.
04:21I guess from watching it, was that the case?
04:23Like, from watching it to him, it's like, oh, wow, I'm in the big brother house?
04:26No, it was actually the opposite.
04:27I'm running around showing him the house and pretty excited.
04:30That's my bed, that's Marty's bed.
04:31And he just turned around and said, Peter, I've seen it.
04:34Yeah, it was amazing.
04:40Now, obviously, you've had a lot of trials and tribulations in your life, and that's
04:44where most of, if not all, your winnings are going to be going to.
04:48Was it something going into the big brother house I would have thought that's a tough thing
04:51to be taking in with you?
04:53Like, I would have thought that's a lot to have to deal with yourself emotionally, let
04:56alone have to share it with a bunch of complete strangers with the whole nation watching.
05:02Was it a hindrance or something you were hoping would go in and help you come to terms with
05:06it?
05:06I guess the last, say, two years, I've just sort of dealt with life in a way that would
05:15help me cope, live every day.
05:17And coming into this year, I just said, no, this is my year.
05:19I'm going to have a go.
05:21And I came into the show without my other half, Megan Tom.
05:26And living three months without your other half, you learn to fill that other half in
05:31and have fun.
05:32And it's not hard with this man here.
05:35Oh, yeah.
05:36Tell me about it.
05:36Now, what about you, Marty?
05:39Did you learn anything from being inside the house?
05:41Did you change as a person?
05:42I thought it'd take me a while once I got on the outside to learn something.
05:50I learned a lot about people, I guess.
05:53Compatibility with people like Pete.
05:57Look, I met some great people on there, as you well know.
06:01Oh, yes, we do.
06:03Yes, we do.
06:05I love your laugh, by the way.
06:07You've got a great laugh.
06:08At the very least, you have a career in laughing.
06:11If anything else doesn't happen for you.
06:12If there's something to take away from it, then that's great.
06:15Was it a good experience on the whole?
06:17Oh, yeah, it was.
06:18For me, coming straight from a farm, you know, the old cows, sheep, whatever have you,
06:22on the head of driving a tractor, to walk onto a TV full-time is just, you know,
06:27you can't get much more diverse than that.
06:29And I loved it.
06:29I seriously had the best time of my life in that house.
06:32I can honestly say that.
06:33Now, what about you, Pete?
06:34You obviously had a good time, got very close with Turk Khan.
06:38When she was evicted, there was a lengthy period of time, unlike Marty and Jess, apart.
06:43Has it changed your feelings?
06:46No, not at all.
06:47Turk Khan is an incredible woman, and she's got a beautiful smile.
06:52On the show, we were very, very close friends, and that's, we talked last night,
06:57and that's where we are right now.
06:58Oh, okay.
06:59Well, also, also, we're all aware of what Marty and Jess are going through.
07:03We don't need to go there.
07:04We discussed it with Jess last week.
07:05But also, Marty, you have announced that, drunken state or otherwise, you would like
07:10to marry Jess.
07:11And also, Pete, I'll throw this open to you as well.
07:14We have backstage tonight a priest.
07:19It is a true man of the cloth.
07:25We even have a bridesmaid as well.
07:26So I'll just leave it open to you guys.
07:29I'll bear to my mate.
07:29Where is she?
07:30Come on.
07:31Well, I'll let you go backstage, discuss it with both your ladies, and we might find out
07:35a little bit later on when we get all the housemates back, but we're pleased for now
07:38thank Marty and the winner of Big Brother 2004, Peter.
07:43Congratulations again, mate.
07:45See you in a sec.
07:46Thanks, Peter.
07:46Back later.
07:47Go to come, the rest of the housemates, join the couch, squash, tina arena, the drugs,
07:52more from Ridge and Ravina, and what the...
07:55They're all out now, but here they are, live on Rove Live.
08:09Welcome them one by one, the Big Brother housemates.
08:12Thank you for coming in.
08:39Hello, dear.
08:40Can you see that?
08:42Get done.
08:43You're amazing.
08:45You're amazing.
08:47Nice to meet you.
08:49Again, well done.
08:51You're the man.
08:52You're the man.
08:55Wow.
08:57Here we all are.
08:58Have we got any time left now?
09:00Now, first, I should say hello, Sarah.
09:01We haven't actually had you on.
09:03Howdy, Ro.
09:03Now, how were you third person out?
09:05How does it feel to have come so close?
09:07No, it was great.
09:08The best achievement of all, getting that far to the end.
09:11Do you think it had anything to do with snogging Marty at the end that might have been the downfall?
09:15We all snogged Marty.
09:18Yeah, maybe too many hickeys.
09:20Do you think, but do you think, Marty, like the two of you, even though it was just mucking around on the floor,
09:24do you think maybe that was what the nation kind of went,
09:26jeez, this microphone digs you can get me back?
09:29I don't know.
09:33It's just really digging me back up there.
09:34I've enjoyed answering that question.
09:36Are you avoiding the question?
09:37What question was that?
09:38Do you think mucking around with Sarah at the end, so close to the finish line, was a wise move?
09:42Do you think that was what the nation frowned upon?
09:45Well, if it did, so be it.
09:46I guess, yeah, just had fun in there.
09:49And if that's against me, then so be it, mate.
09:51Now, also say hello to Nicole, because we haven't met you.
09:55Being one of the intruders, was that a difficult process coming in to what was probably a very clicky group at the time?
10:01Yeah, it was, but hey, I love these guys so much.
10:04And I know it sounds corny and yaw, yaw, yaw, but I did.
10:07I love these guys and I had a great time in there.
10:09And to everybody who was in the house having to nominate intruders to be evicted that first night, how hard was that?
10:17Really hard.
10:18It was really hard.
10:18And the thing is, Nicole actually asked us to nominate her.
10:24And it was one of the hardest things, because these guys, I find that these guys had the hardest job, harder than us housemates.
10:32Because they didn't know what was happening with them through the whole time.
10:35And they didn't know if they were going to get on the show.
10:37And then suddenly three of them, Will, Hayley and Nikki, didn't get on.
10:41And I could never have done it.
10:43I could never have been an intruder.
10:45And they were fantastic.
10:46And we got so close with them so quickly.
10:47I was really happy.
10:52People getting a head start, Shannon.
10:54A bit upset?
10:55Well, no, I was happy with what came into the house.
10:59And what was that?
11:01Now, is this SMS messaging I heard about last night still going on?
11:05Yeah, we're phone texting.
11:06They were closer than our SMS last night, right?
11:09Is that a fact?
11:10Oh, really?
11:11Oh, nice.
11:13I love sharing the part.
11:14But Brady does give a really good, hard SMSing.
11:17So, Brady, is there something going on?
11:21Because I didn't discuss this when you were on.
11:23We're too busy talking about Mirabai.
11:24But what happened?
11:25I haven't got my phone on me.
11:27Back to Marty.
11:27So I've got no idea.
11:29Back to Marty.
11:29All right.
11:30How's that microphone?
11:31Now, Turcan, what about you?
11:32On the night the intruders went in, that was the night you probably hit your lowest.
11:35Yeah, I tried bail.
11:36It didn't work.
11:37It didn't work?
11:37I thought I'd just sneak out and no one would notice, but everyone noticed.
11:40Did you not expect it to be that tough?
11:43Oh, it wasn't because it was tough.
11:44It was just like, I didn't want to stay another day.
11:46I just wanted to leave.
11:46And I thought, I'll go into the diary and request that.
11:49And I got denied.
11:50Denied access.
11:51Actually, denied exit.
11:53Then was it your choice to stay?
11:55Or was it more big brother trying to keep you in?
11:57Oh, no.
11:58He just wanted to make sure that I made the right decision.
12:00And I ended up staying another night and decided to stay with the guys.
12:03And it was a lot of fun.
12:04And how was it for everyone else in the house when Turkan's saying,
12:06Oh, it's a bit tough and I don't think I can go on.
12:09Were you all feeling it at the same time?
12:10Did you sympathise or were you all...
12:12It was good for the intruders because it brought us down.
12:14Because it was...
12:15That night was just full on for us.
12:17Everyone's just, ah, actually like this.
12:20And then you got to see the other side.
12:21Oh, yeah, we're having an effect on everyone.
12:23Well, Kieran, did you think it was your fault?
12:25Maybe the intruders...
12:26Oh, yeah, yeah.
12:29But just think, it's your first night in the house and someone seems to be upset
12:32and I'm not sure if you guys were filled in on the conversations that were going on.
12:34No, we weren't.
12:35It was exactly like, you know, since I walked in,
12:38I'm sort of, yeah, all excited and Turkan was...
12:41It might have been your haircut.
12:42So I thought, yeah.
12:43So I thought, oh, no, what have I done?
12:45I've ruined everything.
12:47Yeah, it's frightening.
12:48You did.
12:51Now, Damon, I'll ask you, being first person out of the house,
12:54is it, is, I guess at that point,
12:56everyone still hasn't quite gelled as much as they would have
12:59when they're, you know, halfway in.
13:01Is it still, do you still feel part of the group?
13:03It's interesting because I got at a time where it was pretty high.
13:06It was like a honeymoon period.
13:08And I got to form good relationships.
13:11It was fun.
13:12So out of the house, it's like, well,
13:15I could form real relationships again, you know,
13:17with people I didn't get to form proper in the house.
13:20And now that you were out, did you, did you form...
13:22Did you form...
13:24Enough about me, Rov.
13:31What about you?
13:32I heard there's a room of Celebrity Big Brother.
13:33No chance in California.
13:36Enough about me.
13:36I want to talk about this.
13:37Now, you picked Damien over Brody here on the show.
13:41Have you, have you caught up?
13:42Have you gone out?
13:43Have you, have you made good?
13:45Um, well, we've hung out a bit.
13:50A bit?
13:51It's been really nice getting to know him outside.
13:54What have you hung out?
13:55But, yeah.
14:01Now, what about you, Jess?
14:02Because when, when you were first in the house,
14:04it seemed like maybe you had a thing for Damien.
14:06Was there anything going on?
14:07Oh, I can't believe they thought that.
14:09Because...
14:09Oh, God.
14:10Oh, God.
14:14I've looked back on the footage,
14:16and the thing is,
14:17Marty and I actually started to develop something early on,
14:20but they never showed that.
14:21They never had our chats with Damien and I
14:23talking about the Marty situation.
14:25It only ever showed me being in the background,
14:27like the third wheel, going,
14:28Oh, no, Damien's fallen from Mirabon.
14:31I was surprised, too.
14:33I was surprised.
14:34When you found out?
14:35Well, no, I just...
14:36By how it was represented.
14:38I mean, Jess and I didn't really have any...
14:40There was no...
14:41There was nothing.
14:42Whatsoever.
14:42It was an animal.
14:43Well, how do we all feel that we were represented?
14:44What about you, Alex?
14:45When you came out,
14:46you were right up until the point you were evicted,
14:48we were probably just saying,
14:48oh, the guy's just laying low,
14:50and then that last week,
14:51you were maybe portrayed as being a conniver and a plotter.
14:55It's definitely not me, Rive.
14:56Rive, I predicted everyone's eviction except my own.
15:13I was also brought in the house
15:14that I'd try to entertain myself,
15:15and I threw up this theory
15:16that I was working for Channel 10 and all this,
15:18and some people sort of started to believe them.
15:21I actually got something from your What The Segment.
15:23You missed something.
15:24Oh, what was that?
15:25Three weeks ago,
15:25there was this doll that appeared on your show
15:27that looked a little like me.
15:29What the hell's going on there?
15:30I don't know.
15:31Well, hey,
15:32Nathan and I were just chatting,
15:33and then this...
15:34There was suddenly this little thing
15:34that appeared,
15:35like a princess.
15:36I hadn't seen it.
15:38Just suddenly arrived,
15:39and Justin started talking the truth.
15:41I know.
15:41About gowns and steaks.
15:42And I hadn't met you in real life,
15:44and I'm shorter in real life
15:45than I appear on television,
15:46so I wasn't sure I couldn't make it.
15:50I have to say,
15:50I have to say,
15:51it was a way more enjoyable Alex.
15:54And surprisingly,
15:55less wooden.
15:55Oh, that's good.
15:57A whole lot less wood.
15:58Hang on, Nathan.
15:59Get your hand out of mine.
16:00Oh.
16:01Microfile.
16:02Now, okay,
16:03speaking of, I guess,
16:05how people were perceived
16:06or how you feel you were perceived,
16:07what about you, Aaron?
16:08Because you're one of the people
16:08who in the house were going,
16:09oh, with my penis shenanigans.
16:13I'm sure to be a favourite,
16:14did you feel,
16:15when you came out,
16:15did you find that people's perceptions
16:17were different to what you thought
16:18they would be?
16:19No, I was pretty much right.
16:20I was a raving lunatic for a week.
16:22I know Alex loved every minute of it.
16:25Absolutely.
16:26Nah.
16:26I don't know,
16:27like,
16:27I think they tend to focus
16:29on whatever they feel
16:29they need to focus on
16:30to create ratings
16:31and, you know,
16:32if you do it,
16:32you do it.
16:33And we did it.
16:34We loved it.
16:35We didn't do it.
16:35I love that.
16:37Some did.
16:38Some did.
16:39You know,
16:39so,
16:40I don't think it was a bad thing.
16:42I think that everybody
16:43does whatever,
16:44you know,
16:45like they argue,
16:45people have conflict,
16:46that's how you're building
16:47your relationships
16:48and move on.
16:49It is,
16:49and, you know.
16:50Now,
16:50did anyone actually do it
16:51in the house?
16:52I did it.
16:52Yeah.
16:54I can tell you
16:55it was very rough.
16:57You would!
16:58Well,
16:58well,
16:58because the rats were involved.
17:02There's a little take.
17:02Okay,
17:03well,
17:03who was happy
17:04with the way they were perceived?
17:06Oh, yeah.
17:06Oh,
17:07portrayed in the house.
17:08The second half.
17:08Yeah?
17:09Well,
17:09not the first half.
17:10Who didn't care?
17:15Who loved it?
17:17Who loved it?
17:20That's what it comes down
17:21to again today.
17:21Was anyone unhappy?
17:22Well,
17:22I haven't seen,
17:22I haven't seen the way
17:23I've been perceived.
17:24I haven't watched it.
17:25Because whenever it comes on,
17:26like,
17:26I know that Alex felt the same way,
17:27I felt a bit sick
17:27in the stomach watching it.
17:29And, like,
17:29seriously,
17:29he comes to that,
17:30dang,
17:31dang,
17:31dang,
17:31dang,
17:32dang,
17:32dang,
17:32dang,
17:33I haven't seen the way I've been perceived,
17:38but I know the way I've been,
17:39I've been,
17:40like,
17:41accepted.
17:42And loved by,
17:42received by everyone Australian.
17:45Positively.
17:45I think it's wicked.
17:46Yeah,
17:46it's fantastic.
17:47What about you, Katrina?
17:48When you came out,
17:48did you think you were poorly portrayed
17:50as someone who got very upset
17:51very easily?
17:52Oh,
17:52look,
17:52I did get upset quite a bit
17:53in the house.
17:54I was going through a lot of things.
17:55It's hard when you've got
17:56so many wonderful personalities
17:57and full-on people,
17:58it makes you feel about this big
17:59sometimes.
18:00Because it's like,
18:01I can't compete,
18:01I can't,
18:02you know,
18:02be like these people
18:03because they're just so fantastic.
18:05So that really drained me
18:07and,
18:07so that's probably why
18:09I felt the way I did in the house.
18:10And they just showed,
18:11like,
18:12the drama of the day,
18:13what was going on,
18:14what was affecting the group
18:15and that's why it was shown.
18:16And I have no qualms about that.
18:17Okay,
18:18well,
18:18we've still got a bit more to come
18:20with the house,
18:20mates.
18:20When we return,
18:21we'll find about the hate,
18:22about the love
18:24and the general relationships
18:25in the house.
18:26Before we go,
18:27Kieran,
18:27can you do me a big favour,
18:28Kisman?
18:28We have,
18:31now,
18:32apart from the fact,
18:32since you've been on the show,
18:33I've been inundated with mail
18:35from ladies saying,
18:36I need to get in touch with Kieran.
18:37But the other thing,
18:38people around Australia
18:39would love to hear
18:40is you getting the chance
18:42to complete your old
18:43McDonald wrap that you do.
18:48Would you like me
18:48taking us to the break?
18:50and you're going to bring us home
19:00to the housemates.
19:01And Tex Perkins,
19:02and you're going to bring us home
19:03on Road Live.
19:04and say I don't love the race
19:06because it was fun, here you go!
19:13Welcome back to more of the Big Brother housemates
19:15and Tex Perkins and you and I
19:17to bring us home on Rogue Live.
19:31Welcome back to Rogue Live.
19:32All the Big Brother housemates are still with us.
19:34There's a bet on, we're under the impression
19:36that Nathan is drunk, we can't...
19:37But not only are we now joined by Gretel Colleen back with us
19:42but also the other intruders we didn't meet 100%,
19:45Hayley, Will and Nicky.
19:51The intruders.
19:53The intruder house, any difference to the Big Brother house
19:56with what you guys went through?
19:57It was like a mini Big Brother.
19:59It was like half the size, man.
20:00It was out in the sticks.
20:02And we were chillin' like big old pimps.
20:09From what you saw of what happened in the official house,
20:13would you say it's the same?
20:15Oh, pretty much.
20:16But we, yeah, pretty much run amok
20:19about getting drunk 24 hours a day.
20:21I think Will's drunk.
20:22I was in the house, I never remember chillin' like a big old...
20:27You're prepped of it.
20:31You don't remember wearing the big fancy furs
20:34and selling weddings for money?
20:35What were you thinking?
20:36Now, Hayley, you didn't enjoy the experience.
20:39That's not true.
20:39Yes, it is.
20:40We saw you crying a lot.
20:41The five minutes that were shown
20:43was the entire five weeks that we had.
20:44Yep, that little fight
20:45was the entire thing that happened.
20:47No, I had a great time.
20:48I mean, it was difficult.
20:49I mean, Nicole and I had our differences
20:51and we're, you know,
20:53obviously not the bestest of friends, but...
20:54OK, who didn't get along in the house?
21:05Oh, don't be nice.
21:09Right, who do you think didn't get along in the house?
21:11Shannon and Turka.
21:12Yeah, we hate each other's guts.
21:13Yeah, we're just dealing with it, though.
21:15Yeah, we're actually doing jelly wrestling now.
21:17Yeah, we do.
21:19It's called jelly wrestling.
21:21But with the larger-than-life personalities
21:24that most of you have,
21:25we had a lot of extroverts in the house.
21:26Did anyone...
21:27I would have thought they'd be clashing.
21:28Well, I was a quiet person.
21:30That was amazing.
21:31And I felt really overwhelmed by everybody else.
21:34You know, like Katrina, I can never get away.
21:38Now, what about the friendships that formed?
21:41Nathan, Alex and Sarah,
21:42you had a very close-knit group there.
21:44How tight was it?
21:45The axis of evil.
21:45Yeah.
21:47There was nothing good about it, though.
21:49Terrible trail.
21:49How was it when it got split up?
21:51I know, Sarah, you took it pretty bad.
21:52Yeah.
21:53I felt like my boys were gone
21:55and I had to kind of restart again
21:56and find, you know, shallow ground again.
21:59I was so stoked that I came out with Alex.
22:01Well, Nathan was a victim.
22:02I was so happy.
22:03But then when I found out
22:04I was going to go out there with him.
22:07But I like the fact that I come out
22:09and I knew that I'd shine over Alex.
22:13It worked well for me.
22:15Nathan is actually more hated than me,
22:17which is also a good thing.
22:18What about everyone else in the house?
22:20The relationships,
22:23whether they just be the axis of evil
22:24or any couples that were formed,
22:25did the rest of you feel somewhat on the outer
22:27because of that?
22:29I think that was for me.
22:30I did.
22:30I was in there for, what, eight days?
22:32But I really, I mean, I love all of them
22:35and I didn't hate any of them.
22:36I got along with everybody.
22:38But it just got to the point where, you know,
22:40I have a really extra bit of personality
22:42and all my friends would say,
22:43my God, shut up, Nicole, all the time.
22:45But with these guys,
22:46I was like this quiet little mouse
22:48and I had my moments where I was loud.
22:50But all of them were just,
22:51what?
22:51Especially this one.
22:52Oh, come on.
22:54I had a good thing about it.
22:55It was good that Nathan could actually take over.
22:58So there were times where I had to go
22:59and recharge my batteries.
23:01Nathan just ran hell for leather,
23:03so I was happy with that.
23:04Well, speaking of batteries,
23:05I mean, Jess, what happened to you?
23:06At some point in the series,
23:07you just, you broke a circuit or something.
23:09I don't know what happened.
23:10The outfits started.
23:12Something in the air.
23:12This character in the water.
23:13Something in the water, perhaps.
23:15Yeah.
23:15Are you noticing screws in the air?
23:17Screw loose.
23:20How has life been for everyone outside the house?
23:23I guess, Pete,
23:23you've probably had the least amount of experience outside,
23:25but even just in the 24 hours,
23:27how's it been for you?
23:29Incredible.
23:29Just go, go, go, go, go.
23:31Drunk, drunk, drunk, drunk, drunk.
23:32That's why you haven't been up, mate.
23:36Pretty much, yeah.
23:38It's been a buzz.
23:40Anyone else?
23:41I guess Damien's been out of the house so long as well.
23:42How was it for you?
23:43Oh, heckling's great.
23:44I get it a bit.
23:46Not an easy target, but...
23:48Now, girls, talking about everyone's, you know,
23:50how close everyone has got,
23:51did you have a particular favourite from the house that you...
23:54Someone you...
23:54Well, not a favourite.
23:55No.
23:56Who did you bond with the most?
23:59Gretzky?
24:00I love them all as my children.
24:04And how did this look compared to last year's mob?
24:06Well, I love them as my children.
24:09You've got a lot of children.
24:10I have.
24:11I have.
24:12Do you get to keep in touch with last year?
24:14I don't get to keep them.
24:17Yes, I shall be selecting a few to come and live in my home.
24:19Um, I don't know.
24:21I think...
24:22Would you do it?
24:23Yes.
24:25I hope you, Nathan.
24:28I really think...
24:30I'll leave this up to you guys to decide,
24:32but the bond that you share from such an intense experience is this.
24:35Just lasts forever.
24:36You don't have to live in each other's pockets forever,
24:38but there will always be a connection because it...
24:41I just can't imagine anything as intense,
24:43particularly at this point in your lives.
24:44I don't know if you've ever experienced anything like this,
24:46but, you know, it's full of fear, excitement, hope.
24:49Uh, disappointment, you know,
24:51like, the whole gamut of emotions.
24:53And when you share that with people,
24:54I just think you're joined really forever.
24:56And what about for the housemates?
24:58The only connection you have with the outside world
24:59is Gretel on eviction night and nomination night.
25:03How close do you guys become to her from the inside?
25:06Very.
25:06All extremely.
25:09There's one person that we see outside of the house,
25:12and, like, as soon as we get out,
25:14like, you actually know that Gretel cares about you in the house.
25:16Everything is...
25:17We actually saw her face when, um, anyone would go,
25:19and she'd be, oh, it's time to go,
25:21and then it'd be like, Nathan,
25:22then you actually see her reaction,
25:23and she's actually taken back.
25:24I was acting.
25:27I was going to give my neighbours a prayer.
25:33How hard was it for you to read out the names?
25:36Was there...
25:36Was there any emotion in not wanting certain people to leave the wall?
25:39Well, it was easier than last year,
25:41because, as you remember, twice with the envelopes,
25:43there was no name written there.
25:45And one time I had to guess,
25:47but luckily it was the right one.
25:49But not this series.
25:52It's hard, but then I know it's not the end of a journey
25:55just because you're coming out of the house.
25:57You know, it's the beginning of an entirely different journey.
25:59So it's not the end of anything.
26:01It's just a shift.
26:03And they've got to come, like, 100 metres or however far it is.
26:06And I do know, wow, this is a new world.
26:09This is a new life.
26:10I mean, I guess that's what it feels like.
26:12You shed your former self,
26:15and then there's a new person emerging.
26:17I think it's yourself that this was about change,
26:19and we have all changed from it.
26:20We have.
26:21Well, Katrina, being one of the first people to come out of the house,
26:23did you expect to get the ovation?
26:26You'd seen last year's big brother.
26:29Was it seeing the thousands of people?
26:31Was it all expected?
26:32Was there less of a surprise?
26:33Well, no, it wasn't a surprise, but I don't know.
26:37All I cared about was getting in that house,
26:39and that's all I focused on.
26:40So to actually leave, I just knew that when Damo left,
26:43he would have had a really good time,
26:44and there was a big down in the house after he left.
26:47And to know that I wouldn't have that down,
26:48and it would be the start of a new journey,
26:49that was exciting, and I loved that.
26:52Now, Aaron, you're one of the guys who said
26:55that there's a good chance that everyone's going to become famous
26:58as they left the house.
26:59Did it happen for you?
27:01Oh, come on.
27:02How much was that taken out of context?
27:04Did you get the plane on?
27:05You know what TV's about.
27:08It was mainly because Marty, he still thinks he's going home to his farm.
27:11He told me this stuff.
27:12Is that the plan, Marty?
27:14Yeah, well, I was thinking to walk straight out of the house
27:16and go straight into the farm,
27:17but I'm here now, so I'm forced to be here.
27:20No, it's great to be here.
27:21It really is.
27:22We arrived on a flight to 2J this afternoon.
27:25Oh, that'd be interesting.
27:26Hijacking a plane in the current climate.
27:27Very clever.
27:28So, okay, who has got any kind of approaches from TV?
27:33Yeah, Brody's nodding.
27:35No, from, you know, sponsorship from companies
27:39or endorsement deals or TV?
27:41Anyone?
27:41Anyone have any knocks on the door?
27:43Yeah, sort of.
27:44Is it all the clothes at the moment?
27:47Yeah.
27:48But isn't the question, isn't it really,
27:50is that why you went into the house?
27:51Yeah.
27:52Well, that's my question.
27:53Yeah, I think sometimes people assume
27:54that you'd go into Big Brother because you want to be famous,
27:58but I don't know if that's everybody's motivation.
28:00Well, how many people did go in with the intention
28:01of using it as a stepping stone?
28:03I mean, last year there was probably less expectation
28:05that anything would become of it.
28:07I think most of them were probably in the house going, you know,
28:09they would have no idea that it was the number one rating show.
28:12They would have no idea how many millions of people were watching
28:15or what to expect when they came out.
28:16You guys did.
28:17Was there anything just in the back of your minds
28:19that maybe that was part of the reason for going in?
28:21Yeah, I was really hoping it would accelerate that process.
28:24I'd already begun the process just previously.
28:26GMA, thank you very much.
28:28It's really definitely going to accelerate it.
28:30But you can only hope, you can't expect.
28:33And everyone's on a high at the moment too.
28:34Yeah.
28:35It's so much fun being part of the whole entertainment thing.
28:38So we're all on a buzz.
28:39Yeah, we want more of it and we want to keep on going with it.
28:41Interesting.
28:41I don't think it's so much fun.
28:43I love it.
28:45It's awesome.
28:46I don't think that everybody had that idea when they went in.
28:48I think that since they've come out,
28:50some people like it, got a taste for it and like it a bit
28:53and they want a bit more.
28:54I think that's more of the case.
28:56I don't think, I think everyone went into the house
28:57to enjoy the experience for what it was.
28:58Yeah.
28:59And then whatever comes afterwards, well, it's a bonus.
29:01It's just Tex Perkins stretching back.
29:03So don't worry about that.
29:05You'll be out later.
29:07Just warming up.
29:08Now, Turkan, when you were on the show,
29:09you said that there was something you had to do
29:12and it was going to be done on the final eviction show.
29:15Yeah.
29:16What was it?
29:17A wink or something?
29:18Tell us what it was.
29:19What happened?
29:20Did you watch?
29:21Come on, sir.
29:21What was it?
29:22What was it?
29:22What was it?
29:23What was it?
29:23What was it?
29:23Come on, Jack.
29:25Come on, Jack.
29:25Tell us what it was.
29:26You know what it was.
29:26Go, Jack, go, Jack.
29:31Go, Jack, go.
29:35Now, I should also remind you, we do have a priest.
29:51Father Steve and our bridesmaid, Annie, is a legitimate...
29:56They are technically out the back.
29:59Marty, Jess, have we discussed?
30:03This is...
30:04This is a television...
30:07Henry, is there any chance right now of getting a wedding?
30:11Do it.
30:11Any chance at all?
30:12Go, Jack, do it.
30:14Josh, you had it all planned out in an open back paddock of mine on the farm.
30:18We have a huge paddock out the back here.
30:23It used to be a helicopter paddock.
30:24I'll tell you what, we could get you married on the Neighbours set out the back.
30:26Oh, yeah!
30:29Beautiful.
30:29John and Charlene, revisited.
30:31There you go.
30:32We'll get angry.
30:33Anderson is saying, suddenly, it'll be beautiful.
30:37What are the chances?
30:38Any chance of it happening?
30:38It'll be so much cheaper.
30:39It'll be cheaper.
30:41We'll pay for it.
30:42You know how I love cheap and nasty?
30:43It's not real money.
30:45You would pay for it?
30:46Yeah.
30:46It's not real money.
30:49I'll send you on a honeymoon.
30:50I'll do whatever you want.
30:51Bye, Marty.
30:52I'll marry Giddle.
30:57I'll marry Giddle.
30:58I'll marry Giddle.
31:01I'll marry Giddle.
31:02There, let's do it.
31:03Hey, why not?
31:03Well, thank you all very much.
31:05Congratulations for seeing it through to the end.
31:08And congratulations to Pete as well.
31:09Ladies and gentlemen, your big brother housemates.
31:11Well, there's a number of guys screaming Jack Perkins and you and I to bring this baby home.
