00:11A study by the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre indicates that 32.5 million of the
00:1735 million people who have fled to other parts of their countries have done so because of
00:22conflict.
00:24Of these, 80% are currently concentrated in just five countries, including the 9.1 million
00:29internally displaced by the civil war in Sudan in 2023, already more than 10 million in 2024,
00:36where the world's largest internal displacement crisis is occurring.
00:40According to the Centre, figures the next largest group of people displaced by conflict
00:46are in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Nigeria and Ethiopia.
