00:00WWE have a big problem, an AEW star leaving imminently, my review of the Survivor Series
00:07go-home episode of Raw and more.
00:11I'm Oli Mustache, and this is the Mustache Mustache News.
00:23Happy first, but really second, we don't talk about the other first time, return to
00:27wrestling anniversary CM Punk.
00:31At the end of last year's Survivor Series on the 25th November, CM Punk walked out to
00:36the Chicago crowd and immediately pissed off two co-workers, Drew McIntyre, who legitimately
00:41stormed out the arena on CM Punk, and Seth Rollins, who channelled his apparently shoot
00:46dislike of him into an off-air angle.
00:49Punk has posted,
00:50Happy one year anniversary of my return to WWE.
00:54Thank you to all the fans for waiting, chanting my name for years, and carrying me on this
00:59journey.
01:00Thank you to my family and friends backstage for the warmth and continued support.
01:05Thank you Paul, Nick and Bruce for the trust and making it all happen.
01:10Love you all.
01:11We are just getting started.
01:14HARD EMOJI
01:15Wow, maybe Punk really has grown as a person, and has learned to work professionally and
01:21successfully with his co-workers since his experience in a-
01:24Oh no wait, he's put a picture of Seth swearing at him in the background.
01:27Same old Punk.
01:28In more Punk posts on social media news, he also shared his text exchange with Stone Cold
01:33Steve Austin on the night of his WWE return, where he sent Stone Cold a photo of his head
01:39on a WWE production truck calling him my stunning friend.
01:44A reference to his stunning Steve Austin gimmick in WCW.
01:47To which Steve replied, yep, that's right, Punk has Stone Cold Steve Austin just saved
01:52as Steve in his phone.
01:55Goddamn, that was a f****** monster pop.
01:58Maybe the loudest I've ever heard.
02:00Awesome.
02:01THREE ERECT PENIS EMOJIS
02:02Oh, you say they're biceps.
02:05Right.
02:06Well, I say what I penis.
02:10I mean, I say what I see.
02:11And a year later, another AEW star is set to jump ship to WWE too.
02:17After months of speculation, Fightful selected reporting PENTA's AEW contract is set to
02:23expire next week.
02:24And unless anything drastic changes, he is expected to leave the company and become a
02:29free agent.
02:30Meaning he can appear anywhere he wants, immediately.
02:34Multiple sites reported that PENTA had told people he was going to leave for WWE and had
02:38been in contact with the company, which, if true, is kinda contract tampering, as he is
02:43still under his AEW contract.
02:45The apparent plan was for him and his Lucha brother Rey Fenix to go in a package deal
02:49straight to the main roster, but Fenix's contract is thought to have been extended
02:54due to time missed because of injury, scuppering WWE's potential plans to debut them at the
02:59same time.
03:00It's speculated that because WWE didn't get the Lucha Bros in the Summer, the Motor
03:04City Machine Guns were used in their place, who were originally thought to be going to
03:08NXT.
03:09WWE lucked out there, as the Machine Guns have slotted in great with the SmackDown tag
03:13division.
03:14Unfortunately, the same can't be said about the women's side.
03:18Jade Cargill was written off TV with a kayfabe attack angle on last Friday's episode.
03:23The Wrestling Observer then revealed this was to cover for a real injury, with her out
03:27for three months.
03:29According to PWNexus, though, the situation is even worse than first feared.
03:33The three month timeframe is a best case scenario, and it's reportedly a neck injury.
03:38A WrestleMania spot is currently in limbo due to this, and could be out up to a year.
03:44This will have major ramifications for the top of the women's division.
03:48Not only has Jade won half of the tag champions with Bianca Belair, which will presumably
03:52have to be relinquished, it also scuppers the year-long build for the potential Jade
03:57vs Bianca match at WrestleMania.
03:59Additionally, with WWE introducing two new women's midcard belts, they're now lacking
04:04more star power depth on the main roster.
04:07Speaking of long-term booking, the final episode of this series of Monday Night War has just
04:13gone live on Patreon.
04:14After years of losing, could Luke finally defeat Pete in his last chance?
04:20You can watch the whole series now at Patreon.com forward slash WrestleTalk.
04:25But now that series is over, you might be asking, what next for Monday Night War?
04:30Well, you could say things are going to get a little bit mustachey.
04:36Nothing but lose to you, Luke.
04:39My hair, my pipe bomb, my mustache street cred.
04:45So now I'm coming for the one thing that matters most to you.
04:52More than your child.
04:54Monday Night War.
04:57Luke, say hello to your new MyGM opponent.
05:02Me, Oli Davis.
05:04Where the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you… in Mustache Night War.
05:14Starting on the 9th December, here on Patreon.com forward slash WrestleTalk.
05:22But the first episode will be available publicly on partsFUNknown on the same day.
05:31But the rest of it will be on Patreon.com forward slash WrestleTalk exclusively.
05:48Now it's time for my review of Monday Night Raw… in about 5 minutes.
05:52The go-home episode for Survivor Series took place from Glendale, Canada, and for a change,
05:57was actually broadcast live, and we didn't know the results in advance.
06:01The show opened with the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther being interviewed in the
06:04ring by Jackie Redmond, who essentially asked him, why are you so crap ever since Cody Rhodes
06:10beat you?
06:11Are you going to cry, Gunther?
06:12Are you going to cry, you little bitch boy?
06:14Damian interrupted before he could answer, or cry, to again say Gunther's old aura
06:18had gone.
06:19Gunther responded by hitting him in the head with the microphone, to finally give the Ring
06:23General a good showing in this feud, for Damian to then put him through the announcers table
06:28and pose with the belt.
06:29I can't remember many other heel vs face feuds where the face has won every promo and
06:34brawl segment in the build, but that's what Priest needed to make this match credible.
06:38It's just a shame it's been at the expense of Gunther's badassery, and I hope he can
06:42reset back there once Survivor Series is done.
06:45In actually the best match of the night, The Creedz took on LWO's Rey Mysterio and Dragon
06:49Lee in a Tornado Tag.
06:51The stipulation allowed all four men to be in the ring at the same time, making it a
06:55series of exciting high spots rather than WWE's usual build to the hot tag template.
07:00Julius Creed was so impressive, hopping up to the top rope for a superplex and effortlessly
07:05hitting a top rope 450, but it was Rey Mysterio, still finding ways to surprise me after all
07:10these years, who was my favourite.
07:12He took out both Creedz' legs when they were up in the corner for a double superplex
07:17with a 619.
07:18Mysterio is one of the most innovative wrestlers to ever live, but the best innovation here
07:23was America Made actually getting a win.
07:25Chad Gable twisted Rey's mask behind the referee's back, letting The Creedz pick
07:29up a tight rolling victory.
07:31Hopefully they can continue this momentum for a much more credible 2025.
07:35Bron Breaker then took on Ludwig Kaiser after Kaiser ruined his match against Sheamus last
07:39week.
07:40The Sheamus DQ finish was inevitable, it was just a question of when it would happen.
07:43Thankfully Breaker and Kaiser put on a very stiff match for the time they had, with the
07:47most brutal spot being something as simple as Bron doing his charge around the ring to
07:52be thrown into the corner of the announce desk.
07:55That got me more than Darby driving a car into a truck.
07:58Sheamus eventually caused a DQ, which started a huge pull apart brawl between them all that
08:02lasted through an ad break.
08:03Adam Pearce must've been drinking again, as he just came out and screamed FINE, YOU
08:07CAN ALL HAVE A TITLE MATCH AT SURVIVOR SERIES.
08:11Sami Zayn, Jey and Jimmy Uso were backstage, where Sami was sceptical about working with
08:15CM Punk, while Jimmy said they should trust in the wise man.
08:19Yes, because Paul Heyman has never screwed over anyone before.
08:23They loaded up SmackDown, announcing Jey Uso will take on Jacob Fatu in a WarGames
08:27advantage match, and that Punk and Roman will talk face-to-face.
08:31Solo Sakoa got a cool little mob boss vignette later in this episode too.
08:34After some R-Truth comedy, Finn Balor hyped up the Judgment Day in their clubhouse ahead
08:38of their War Raiders match, saying they're all one big happy, successful family.
08:44Which is exactly what a faction about to implode would say.
08:47And that this attitude is what's going to make them tag team champions for 154 days
08:52and counting.
08:53I think what's going to make them tag team champions for that long and counting is just
08:56never defending the belts.
08:58In truth, what actually kept them champions was interference.
09:01The War Raiders got some really big crowd reactions, but this was a letdown considering
09:05how this title defence has been built up for over a month.
09:08Dom and Carlito caused the distraction, letting Finn take out Ivar on the ropes, and JD got
09:13the win.
09:14Who do you want to see take the tag belts off Judgment Day?
09:16Let me know in the comments down below because I'll be replying to people FROM OUTTA NOWHERE.
09:20The best thing on the whole show, however, wasn't a go-home for Saturday's Survivor
09:24Series.
09:25It was a go-home angle for next Monday's Raw.
09:28We finally got the promo video announcement that the New Day's 10 year celebration will
09:32happen on the 2nd December.
09:34It cut back to Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston watching the screen backstage, reminding them
09:39of the good times ahead of their tag match.
09:41They said they love each other just before they went out, making me hope they're going
09:45to the celebration on good terms.
09:47But as soon as the bell rang against the Alpha Academy, the communication broke down again.
09:52Woods tagged himself in because he wanted to start, they argued, and Otis and Tozawa
09:56beat them in under a minute.
10:00One of the lowest ranked tag teams on Raw just squashed the New Day.
10:07The camera followed Woods and Kofi as they stormed to the back in one uninterrupted take.
10:12Once backstage, all the tensions from the last several months, hell, the last several
10:16years blew up.
10:17Kofi said there was a reason him and Big E never let Xavier call the shots.
10:21He's too reckless.
10:22Woods countered that if he didn't take risks, Kofi would never have become world champion.
10:27It was Xavier who pushed him into that situation.
10:30Kingston said Woods will never be a world champion because Xavier isn't good enough,
10:34and that's not Kofi's fault.
10:36While Xavier said Kofi pissed away his reign and Kofi-mania in six seconds to Brock Lesnar.
10:42This was a remarkable performance by both men, almost structuring the verbal argument
10:46like a final sequence of a wrestling match.
10:48And in that high emotion, they might have said things that can never be taken back.
10:53This was one of WWE's best segments of the year, and I'm genuinely looking more forward
10:57to next Monday's Raw than anything on WarGames, and I'm really looking forward to WarGames.
11:02The mind games continue as Nikki Cross attacks Scarlett Bordeaux while the rest of the Final
11:06Testament were trying to find the Wyatt Six.
11:08She left a message scrawled on the mirror that read EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO LOSE.
11:13Weirdly, we got a recap of a segment before Raw came on air, not an actual live segment
11:17of Adam Pearce unveiling the red brand's version of SmackDown's Women's United
11:21States title, the Raw Women's Intercontinental title.
11:26The announcement probably should've been saved for a future show where they had more
11:29time.
11:30Having it this way made the new belt feel like an afterthought.
11:48The Ladyface WarGames team argued earlier in the show over who should replace the injured
11:52Jade Cargill.
11:53Io wanted Kairi Sane, Naomi suggested Bayley, and it ended with Bianca Belair tensely telling
11:57the leader Rhea Ripley she should decide, as the most edge Bianca's had in a long
12:02time.
12:03No, not that one.
12:04This was resolved in the show's main event, where Bianca took on Nia Jax to decide whose
12:07team gets the WarGames advantage.
12:09And the path they've chosen is psychologically janky.
12:14First off, the Faces won, which never works as well when the good guys always have the
12:17advantage in WarGames.
12:19And secondly, the way Bianca won here was supremely dodgy.
12:22Nia nearly had the match won clean, for the likely fifth member of the Ladyface WarGames
12:27team to reveal themselves as CM Pa-I mean Bayley.
12:31She knocked Nia into an exposed turnbuckle, letting Bianca get the win.
12:35So the way Bayley proved that she's trustworthy to Bianca, and that she's changed from her
12:39old cheating ways, is by using her old cheating ways.
12:43All in all, though, this was a very good episode of Raw at 74%.

12:51Raw The Last Chance.
