00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has already handed over his duties to Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:07The Vice President has been given five days to explain to the National Bureau of Investigation, NBI,

00:14his commitments.

00:22As a democratic country, we need to uphold the rule of law.

00:27I, as the head of the Executive Department, and all those in charge of the government,

00:34have sworn an oath to uphold and uphold the Constitution and our laws.

00:42So, it is not right to stop the people from seeking the truth.

00:49This is what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said

00:52regarding Vice President Sara Duterte's threat against her,

00:57First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

01:02The President gave this statement and insisted that the law should be upheld.

01:07The President insisted, instead of answering and inviting the Congress,

01:12he also assured that despite this, he will continue to serve as President of the country.

01:18Meanwhile, the National Bureau of Investigation will detain Vice President Sara Duterte

01:24after she threatened the President's family.

01:28At a press conference in Malacanang, NBI Director Jaime Santiago said that Facebook has allowed

01:35their request to preserve the video of the Vice President's threat.

01:41And the person ordered by Duterte is also being asked to expose the President.

01:47The National Bureau of Investigation will do all it can to expose her identity

01:56including issuing a subpoena to Vice President Sara who threatened the NBI

02:03in order to clarify her statements.

02:08Because she directly said that she was taken by a person,

02:13that she will commit a murder, not only to the President,

02:18but also to the First Lady and the Speaker of the House.

02:23The NBI will conduct an investigation.

02:26In the past, they passed the statement of the Vice President that she will behead the President.

02:32They will take this seriously because this is just a threat to the President's life.

02:38Andres also insisted that even if there is no crime,

02:42the person ordered by Vice President Duterte will abide by the law

02:46in order to expose the President, the First Lady and the Speaker of the House.

02:52Right now, we are open to all possible crimes and we are not looking at one particular offense,

02:59criminal offense.

03:00But as I said, definitely, there will be criminal and other legal liabilities

03:06that will be enforced against the plotters and those who will execute it

03:12and those who took part in it.

03:14First, the Vice President is not immune from suit.

03:18She can be the subject of any criminal administrative case

03:24and the ombudsman also has authority to do its duty, to discipline and to take necessary measures.

03:33According to the NBI, they did not immediately arrest the Vice President because they still respect her.

03:40Vice President Duterte was given five days to face the NBI.

03:45We are giving her a chance, due process, to answer what is being asked of her.

03:53This is by way of subpoena.

03:56The DOJ ordered the impeachment of the Vice President in the House of Representatives.

04:02According to Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Dong-Gonzalez,

04:06the threat to the life of the President is a sign that a country cannot lead.

04:13Senate President Francis Escudero urged Vice President Sara Duterte

04:20to be patient with the public's statements.
