Abortion Laws, Made by Men

Oklahoma just passed a near-total abortion ban. And guess what this bill has in common with other laws restricting reproductive rights?

00:00Men, white men, they're telling females what to do with they body.

00:30The Bible says that that child is created in God's image, ma'am.

00:51I am also one of the one in four women in America who have had an abortion.

00:58It was my choice and that's what it should be for every pregnant person across Mississippi,

01:05across Texas, across Georgia.

01:07It's human rights, women's rights.

01:09And the people in the Supreme Court is mostly, to me, men.

01:28The Texas heartbeat bill is now law in the Lone Star State.

01:55Simply put, politicians and the government have no place controlling women's freedom to choose their reproductive care.

02:03They should not be in the business of controlling women's bodies, period.

02:20Each of you sits here in judgment of a situation that you could never comprehend

02:26and dictate what a woman can and cannot do with her body, with her life.

02:32But let me tell you something, this bill takes it much, much further.

03:00Any attempt to do what has been done in Texas is a complete, all-out assault on women's rights.
