00:16about this show, Perry wrote. He explained that they were not notified about the project, saying,

00:21quote, my family found out when everyone else did. Perry also addressed the recreation of

00:25Lindsay's sister's court testimony for the show, which has gone viral across social media.

00:29In a recent first-person essay, Rita Isbell revealed that Netflix never contacted her

00:34about the show, calling it harsh and careless. She says seeing the dramatization of her victim

00:38impact statement brought back all the emotions she felt in 1992. Quote, they didn't ask me

00:43anything. They just did it. Isbell says if the series monetarily benefited the families,

00:47she could understand its purpose. Quote, it's sad that they're just making money

00:50off of this tragedy, she said. That's just greed.
