Lizzo brings out drag queens in Tennessee

In response to the state's anti-drag law, Lizzo performed alongside drag entertainers during her Tennessee concert.

00:04Tennessee. Local drag performers as well as former contestants from RuPaul's Drag Race

00:08danced alongside the singer in a response to the state's anti-drag legislation.

00:16This comes after Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed into law a bill that prohibits

00:20drag performances in public spaces. Lizzo addressed the bill later in the evening.

00:24I was told by people on the internet, can't see your shows in Tennessee, don't go to Tennessee.

00:31Why would I not come to the people who need to hear this message?

00:36Why did I not create a safe space in Tennessee where we can celebrate drag entertainers and

00:43celebrate our differences? What people are doing in Tennessee is giving hope.

00:49So thank you so much for standing up for your rights, protecting each other,

00:55and holding the people accountable who should be protecting us.
