00:00A new monument dedicated to MLK was unveiled in Boston, but it's being met with mixed reviews.
00:08The 20-foot tall statue, named The Embrace, features Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
00:13and his wife, Coretta Scott King.
00:15Brooklyn-based artist Hank Willis Thomas recreated this picture of the two hugging after King
00:19won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.
00:22The statue only shows the couple's arms and hands, which has sparked some criticism.
00:33Even Seneca Scott, Coretta's cousin, spoke out about the piece, calling it masturbatory.
00:38The couple's son, Martin Luther King III, however, defended and praised the artist,
00:42saying he was grateful to see his parents' love portrayed in the monument.
