00:09decided to check himself into a hospital and opened up about his ongoing depression,

00:13saying the feelings have become more severe in recent weeks. Several fellow Democrats,

00:18including President Joe Biden, Senator Chuck Schumer, and Senator Tina Smith,

00:23took to Twitter to praise Fetterman for his decision, as did Republican Senator Ted Cruz,

00:28who tweeted that he and his wife would be praying for the senator and that mental illness is real

00:33and serious. Fetterman is receiving care at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center

00:37in Maryland. It is unclear how long he will stay.
