00:00A new report found that West Point is displaying a KKK plaque on its campus.
00:04The plaque is outside of the U.S. Military School's Science Building and shows a hooded
00:09figure with the words Ku Klux Klan written below it. This image is a part of a larger
00:14piece of work. It has three panels that are each 11 feet tall and 5 feet wide.
00:19The portion that shows the KKK member is on the bottom left of the second panel.
00:24The plaque was created by Loren Garden-Fraser and is meant to reference the history of the U.S.,
00:29according to the Academy's Public Affairs Office. The finding was shared in a report by a special
00:34congressional commission that recommends the removal or renaming of Confederacy-affiliated
00:39assets at U.S. military sites. The KKK, which was started by Confederate veterans,
00:44is considered a hate group and is still active.
