00:00Love is Blind just wrapped their fourth season, but we need to talk about how multiple former
00:04contestants have come forward saying they were put through quote emotional warfare.
00:08In a new report published by Business Insider, several cast members of the hit Netflix reality
00:12dating show spoke out about their difficult experiences during production. Season two
00:16contestant Danielle Rule claimed that during filming she had a panic attack, hid in a closet,
00:20and told producers she wasn't mentally stable enough to stay, but ultimately did. Love is Blind
00:25did not provide contestants with access to mental health services during filming, unlike shows like
00:29The Bachelor. Other contestants alleged that they didn't receive sufficient food, water, or sleep
00:34while filming, which season one contestant Danielle Drewin said was an attempt to keep
00:37participants on edge. Producers responded to the allegations telling Insider quote the well-being
00:42of our participants is of paramount importance to Kinetic. We have rigorous protocols in place
00:46to care for each person before, during, and after filming. This comes 10 months after former
00:51contestant Jeremy Hartweld sued the streaming service and production company for quote inhumane
00:55working conditions and low wages.
