“Zoey 101” star protests Nickelodeon

“Zoey 101” actress Alexa Nikolas is speaking out on the alleged prevelance of sexual abuse at Nickelodeon.

00:00This Zoey 101 actress is protesting the alleged abuse she faced while working at Nickelodeon.

00:05At age 12, Alexa Nicholas was cast as Nicole Bristow on Zoey 101, alongside Jamie Lynn Spears.

00:10During her run on the series, she claims that she didn't feel safe and faced numerous alleged

00:14abuses at the hands of Nickelodeon executives. This week, she staged a protest outside of the

00:19company's headquarters with Eat Predators, an organization she started that advocates for

00:24survivors of sexual abuse. She's calling for Nickelodeon to eliminate non-disclosure agreements

00:28for child actors and to investigate Dan Schneider's production company, as well as other

00:33network execs. The protest follows allegations by former iCarly actress Jeanette McCurdy,

00:37who in her new memoir details the alleged abuses she endured from higher ups at the company.

00:42Nicholas hopes that Nickelodeon can redeem itself, but pointed out on Instagram that

00:45the network has yet to respond to the allegations from Jeanette or herself.
