00:00The film is called Amar Aaj Marega and it's been made by a first-time director Rajat Karia.
00:13He is a brilliant director. He knows what he wants and I was very impressed with this
00:29project. In the ensemble cast that he put together, the kind of energy that he was able
00:38to bring about in the presentation, plus there's something deep that he wanted to communicate
00:46and he has been able to do that. So altogether it was a great experience. Amar Aaj Marega.
00:59I mean it's experience and imagination and also the briefing by the director and the
01:04script which guides you. We spoke about it and I was able to find this character. It
01:18may not be a perfect life but in many ways it's fulfilling. At the end of it you come
01:25to a day you know that it's inevitable to leave this world. Of course to end your life
01:35yourself is a very violent act and to take that decision and to follow that up is something
01:43which you have to kind of like make very tough decisions. But the process of reaching
01:55there has been made very interesting in this film or in this narrative. As an actor to
02:04be able to find that character, of course the director helped me, the script helped
02:08me and my own experience and that's how we were able to get there.
02:21I love it. I remember my own first film. I did a film called Matto Ki Cycle which was
02:30again done by a first time director. He had written a brilliant script. So I am very comfortable
02:36working with first time directors. The best part is the kind of energy and enthusiasm
02:41that they bring. It's really enjoyable.
02:52You know I would like to slightly correct you. I have done actually nothing. I have
02:56achieved nothing. You are being modest. No I am not being modest. Honestly speaking.
03:00Because what's done is done. What has to be done is most important. And that's how
03:06I look at life. Every day is the first day. Every day of shoot is the first day of shoot.
03:12And every work is exciting. That's how I look at it. So absolutely ready to do anything new.
03:23Okay.
03:29The gospel truth is story, the content. Whether you do OTTD, whether you do films in past,
03:38whether you do films in future, whenever you do it, if you are able to tell a good story,
03:43engage the audience, you will be successful. And I think that's the correction which is
03:50happening in the industry. The audience is telling us to tell them a good story, tell
03:58them well, they will receive you. And if we keep going on the beaten path, keep journeying
04:08out the same thing in different ways, that's not going to work. So I am happy. I am happy
04:15with that.
04:21Not only Sajdeva, I enjoyed working with all the actors. We were all there in it. I hope
04:29they enjoyed working with me.
04:36It's not a change, it's just an addition. It's just like one more, you know, one more
04:44art, one more craft, which I enjoy practicing. I mean I will continue to direct, write, act.
04:55If I can sing, I will sing. Whatever, any manner that I can add to my work, I can connect
05:09with people, I will do that. I love it.
05:13I love it.
