00:00Gunny, he reminded me of a dog that was probably not included a lot.
00:05It was like, I better just stay out of their way.
00:07He would sit on the couch with us, but I felt like he was doing it just to please us.
00:15When we would include him on everything, Chris and I would joke, he was like,
00:19me? You want me to come?
00:20We're like, yeah, Gunny, this is your life now. You come on everything with us.
00:26It was so sweet, but heartbreaking.
00:27He's like, oh, this dog spent a lot of time alone.
00:31We took him hiking with us and on van trips, and he really started to come into himself.
00:37Then I got a message, and he said, we've got a puppy who needs a home.
00:42I was like, we shouldn't, and then we did it.
00:46I was really nervous how Gunny would do, and immediately Gunny took to Vinny.
00:51As Vinny became more of a confident puppy, Gunny became a confident puppy.
00:58Gunny, we're like, he's aging backward.
01:02He continued to just get better.
01:11Vinny brought all this puppy energy.
01:13I just kept focusing on how happy is Gunny, and no longer was I going sad.
01:19Gunny was tearing into him.
01:22And then taking them to the dog park, just wrestling and running hot laps.
01:27They crash on the couch by 7 p.m.
01:30They're exhausted because they had a really good dog life.
01:35How can you keep loving something more?
01:37And I should know that by having two kids, it's boundless.
01:41And you just keep loving these things more and more, and there's so much work and so much poop,
01:45but it's so worth it because we see everyone keep being happier.
01:48And their happiness is so contagious.
