00:00Today we're in Mughalabas, 2024 in Goa and Royal Enfield has just unveiled their latest
00:14offering, the Scram 440.
00:16Now Royal Enfield in the last month or two have been really hitting the market with new
00:19products right from the 350 platform to the 650 platform and now they've come out with
00:24the 440 platform and now I'll take you around this motorcycle because last time when the
00:29Scram 411 was launched, customers had a lot of feedback and Royal Enfield has worked on
00:33all of that.
00:34Now starting off, the main thing that customers wanted were tubeless wheels for the Scram
00:40411.
00:41Now on the Scram 440, the alloy wheels that we get come with tubeless tyres, however the
00:46spoke wheels that we get still come with tube tyres.
00:50On top of that, ground clearance has been improved and now sits at 200mm.
00:54Seat height is a lot more accessible now at 795mm.
00:58Overall design elements still remain the same except for it looks a little more rugged
01:02than before.
01:04The clutch on the previous Scram 411 was really hard and really tight for us to pull it in
01:10but now Royal Enfield has worked on that as well and this requires 0.75kg less effort
01:16than what is required on the Scram 411.
01:19This not just means an easier clutch engagement but also better clutch durability.
01:25So now I'll take you around the motorcycle to show you the design elements of this.
01:29Well, we still get the single seat that we saw on the Scram 411 but it's a lot more comfortable
01:34and a lot more cushion.
01:35On top of that, the fuel tank that we get still remains the same, colour options have
01:39changed, I'll take you around the colour options in some time.
01:41Now coming to the front, the previous Scram 411 had halogen headlamps.
01:47Now we get LED headlamps and a split style lamp, however the indicators still remain
01:51halogen.
01:52Now moving to the side design of the Scram 440, as we see, we still get this body panel
01:58that juts out from the main body, the tank still comes, you hit your thigh patches right
02:03here.
02:04The Scram 440 badging is located right on the side with a few air vents to cool down
02:08our engine.
02:09On top of that, as I mentioned earlier, ground clearance has improved and now sits at 200mm,
02:13seat height sits at 795mm.
02:16Now coming to the rear, we get a single monoshock at the rear, alloy wheels as I mentioned and
02:21the rear indicators are still halogen style.
02:23We get an LED tail lamp and that's about it for the design, still remains as I said, more
02:28or less the same with a few changes here and there.
02:31So now coming to the engine specifications, so as I said, this is now the Scram 440, they've
02:37redesigned the engine from the Scram 411.
02:39So now the engine that we get on the Scram 440 is a 443cc engine known as the LS 440.
02:45Now this engine puts out 25.4bhp and 34Nm of torque, that is a lot more than what we
02:50saw from the previous Scram 411.
02:53Now if you're looking for your off-road excursions, if you're looking to have some fun on this
02:56motorcycle, now it's definitely possible because you're getting that little extra grant of
03:00power that we all wanted.
03:02Being a sort of off-road come on-road motorcycle, the previous Scram 411 didn't come with switchable
03:08ABS.
03:09Now however, our rear ABS is switchable, making it a lot more fun and a lot more capable when
03:14you're taking it on our off-road trails.
03:18Now in terms of payload capacity, the 440 comes with a lot more payload capacity and
03:23comes with three mounting points.
03:24Now on a few other models, I'll show a few clips of that, we get a mounting point on
03:29the rear, we get a mounting point on the sides and we can also mount a tank bag on the front.
03:35Now apart from that, colour options, well there are four colour options on the Scram 440.
03:39One is this silver, white and teal finish, this is the other one and this one comes loaded
03:45with all the accessories.
03:46As you can see, it comes with a top box, it misses out on the handguards, but I'll just
03:50show you the seating position of this motorcycle.
03:54So as you can see, I am six foot one and I can place my legs comfortably.
03:59It is a slight reach, so maybe shorter riders, 5'10", 5'8", and below, will find it hard
04:04to place both their feet on the ground, however, it still is quite comfortable.
04:08Well now in terms of the rider's triangle, you do feel in control of the motorcycle,
04:12you do feel in command, however, the tank may come into way, where it juts out over
04:18here, it may come in the way of your knee, giving it a slight discomfort, however, more
04:24or less, it still is very comfortable to sit on.
04:27Seat comfort is tremendous, it's very soft, it's very cushioned, so you really don't have
04:31much to complain about.
04:32In terms of the handlebar positioning, well it is positioned well, especially if you want
04:36to go for your off-road excursions, then you can load the front when you have to and do
04:40what you must with the vehicle.
04:42So this was another colour option available and that was the seating position, now there
04:46are still two more colour options that I'm missing out on.
04:49This is the third colour option and this comes with the guards right here, this is what I
04:54was telling you about on the previous motorcycle.
04:56So these are the guards and let us know which your favourite colour option is, moving on
05:01to the last one.
05:03Now this is the fourth and the final colour option available for this Ram 440.
05:07Now if you like this, let us know in the comment section down below.
05:11But before I'm done, let's take a quick look at the exhaust note of this motorcycle.
05:26So how do you think of that, let us know in the comment section below.
05:29All in all that was a quick run-through of the all-new Royal Enfield Scram 440, prices
