Clingy cockatoo wants to dance 24/7 and will scream uncontrollably until mom drops everything and dances with her. We talked to Shannon about how the dance craze started and the very special reason why she encourages it!

00:00One day I was just filming the dance turn by myself in the kitchen. Little did I know

00:08that she was actually going to do the dance turn in the middle of the camera.

00:17She comes up with different dances. She's not just bouncing up and down, like just moving

00:20her head and her wing. Since then we've been doing a little bit of dancing. We always dance

00:33together. Now that's another way of bonding with her.

00:43She likes bounce music and rap music and Caribbean music.

00:54I think that she sees dancing as a way to get attention because the minute she starts

00:58to do it, everyone in the house pays attention to her.

01:01Coco is a very clingy bird.

01:07Here I am, just working on my laptop, and she has decided to join me. Um, correction.

01:14She demanded to join me by screaming very, very loudly.

01:19There is no stopping her. If I don't pay her any attention, she will continue yelling.

01:38She gets very much involved in everything. Coco just helping around her Caribbean household.

01:46I'm just trying to knit in peace and Coco has decided to take over the task for me.

02:07After we dance together, she finally gets all the attention that she was seeking. So

02:16some head scratches? I hope she keeps dancing forever because her dancing means she's happy.

02:23Her previous owners, they mistreated her in a way and I'm very thankful that

02:27the trauma she went through in that old household did not take over.

02:35I plan on having Coco forever. She's just a little dancing queen. I love her. I'm outside,

02:41just like soaking in the sun and of course Coco's with me in her new little um leash.

02:52Because Coco has to be everywhere with me. Nah, I don't mind though. You okay, choo-choo?
