00:00About 1.4 million individuals were affected by the three consecutive typhoons in the Philippines.

00:12Pre-emptive evacuations in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas continue

00:17due to the subsequent entry of typhoons Nika, Ophel, and Pepito in the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:23More than 200,000 families or more than 700,000 individuals were pre-emptively evacuated

00:30in Region 1, Region 2, Region 3, Calabar Zone, Region 5, and Region 8

00:36based on the combined effects of typhoons Nika, Ophel, and Pepito,

00:40while more than 1.4 million individuals were affected by the three consecutive typhoons.

00:47In a statement by the PTV to the Office of Civil Defense Officer-in-Charge, Assistant Secretary for Operations Cesar Edeo,

00:53according to him, the preparation, assistance, and assessment of various government agencies

01:00for a proactive response to those affected by the typhoons is ongoing.

01:03Our National Disaster Risk Relation Management Council and Regional and Local DRM Councils are always alert.

01:13The OCD has issued a warning to the citizens.

01:17Our Secretary of National Defense emphasized that due to the gale warnings given,

01:26that the regional areas that have gale warning advisories should not repeat oil leaks due to sinking ships.

01:46No one should sail ships due to prohibitions.

01:53The Department of Social Welfare and Development continues to remind people,

01:57especially those who are affected by typhoons Pepito.

02:01Up to 10,000 DSWD family food packs will be transported from Cebu to Katanduanay via air assets.

02:09Total assistance from DSWD, local government units of Region 1, Region 2, Region 3, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Region 5
