A 35-year-old man perished in a house fire in Sandakan on Sunday (Nov 17) morning. The fire broke out at the victim's house in Kampung Karamunting when the victim and his 25-year-old brother were asleep.

00:08The fire broke out at 8.30am at a house in Kampung Karamunting when the victim and his
00:1425-year-old brother were asleep.
00:17Firefighters arrived at the scene at 8.54am and brought the fire under control by 9.27am.
00:25Authorities said the victim had suffered a stroke during the incident.
00:28They said the house was completely destroyed in the fire.
00:32They said the fire also damaged a lorry and two other vehicles parked near the house.
00:39The victim's remains have been sent to Duchess of Kent Hospital for autopsy.
00:44The cause of the fire and the losses are still being assessed.
