00:05across the UK does continue, but there are still some uncertainties in the forecast as
00:09we head into the new working week. Through the rest of the weekend, though, we've got
00:12a weather front just sinking its way southwards through the rest of Saturday. But it's this
00:16area of low pressure that moves in from the northwest as we go through Sunday and into
00:19Monday that's still causing us quite a few headaches. Some models are keeping this a
00:24little bit further north, some models keeping it still a little bit further south. But it's
00:27that boundary of cold and warm air with that weather front just bringing a risk of some
00:32sleet and snow that could be disruptive. Mostly, most of that sleet and snow will be falling
00:36over any high ground, but there is a risk that we could see some sleet and snow to some
00:40lower levels. What we do know with confidence, though, is that as we go through Monday evening
00:44and into Tuesday, that area of low pressure pushes away towards the east and towards the
00:48continent, leaving us northerly winds across much of the UK and towards the middle part
00:52of the week. So turning widely much colder than we've seen through the start of November.
00:58Back to what we've got out there at the moment, though, that weather front continues just
01:01to sink its way southwards across much of England and Wales through the rest of Saturday
01:05and into the start of Sunday. For the northern half of the UK, a bit of a different story,
01:09though. Plenty of clear spells around, still plenty of showers pushing in from the west
01:12and across northern parts of Scotland. These likely to turn to sleet and snow over the
01:16hills and for eastern parts of Scotland, northern parts of England, plenty of clear skies to
01:20start the day on Sunday. So that does mean it will be quite a chilly start to the day,
01:24quite a widespread frost in places here to start on Sunday morning, perhaps even some
01:28icy stretches in places further south. Not quite as cold, but still temperatures dropping
01:33down into the single figures. So it will be quite a widely chilly start for many of us
01:38on Sunday morning. A little bit of a cloudier start across parts of Northern Ireland. Some
01:43showery rain pushing in from the northwest, spreading its way into parts of Wales, the
01:46Midlands, into northern parts of England as we head towards Sunday afternoon. Plenty
01:51of showers still piling in, particularly across northern parts of Scotland. And again, these
01:55likely to turn to sleet and snow over any high ground. There'll be some brighter spells
01:59across the very far south of England, perhaps some sunshine in places. I'm feeling quite
02:03pleasant in that sunshine with light winds to temperatures here around about average
02:06for the time of year, but still just holding on to that slightly milder air. So maybe eleven
02:10or twelve degrees. However, further north, particularly across Northern Ireland, where
02:14we see that cloud and for much of Scotland with those northerly winds, it'll be feeling
02:17really quite chilly through the afternoon. Temperatures not reaching much above four
02:21or five degrees. As we then go through the rest of Sunday evening, we see that area of
02:26rain across parts of Northern Ireland continue to spread south and eastwards into parts of
02:30Wales, the Midlands and northern parts of England, perhaps turning heavy over any hills
02:33as well and slowly spreading its way even into southern parts of England by the time
02:37we get to Monday morning. Further north, though, those showers really do remain confined to
02:42the northern parts of Scotland. We could see up to 10 centimetres of snow just building
02:46up into the early hours of Monday morning, but under plenty of clear spells, it'll be
02:50a much chillier night than a Saturday night. Temperatures widely dropping down around zero,
02:55if not just below, particularly in some rural spots. So quite a hard frost likely on Monday
02:59morning, and this could lead to some icy stretches. So do take care during Monday morning's rush
03:04hour. Further south, it will still be quite a chilly start to the day on Monday, although
03:07not perhaps quite as cold as further north, with all that cloud and rain around to start
03:12on Monday morning. So for much of England and Wales, a cloudy and damp start to the
03:17day. That area of rain continues to spread its way south and eastwards as we go in towards
03:21Monday afternoon. Is this area of rain then that's causing us those headaches, that area
03:26of low pressure spreading its way eastwards as we go through Monday afternoon? And it's
03:30on that boundary of that rain that we're likely to see some sleet and snow forming. As I mentioned,
03:35the sleet and snow most likely to be falling over any high ground. We could perhaps see
03:39up to 20 centimetres of snow across the Pennines. And at lower levels, it will mostly be falling
03:44as rain. But there is still a very small chance that we could see some sleet and snow, perhaps
03:48causing some disruption during Monday afternoon to lower levels. But for the most part, that
03:52sleet and snow remaining over the high ground. For parts of Scotland, a bit of hazy sunshine
03:57through the afternoon and those sleet and snow showers do continue across the north
04:01of Scotland through the afternoon, perhaps feeling quite blustery at times here. And
04:04it will be feeling quite chilly with those blustery northerly winds. Temperatures again
04:08only reaching the low single figures as a maximum. Further south and to the south of
04:12that weather front, we will just be holding on to that slightly milder air. So again,
04:16temperatures a little bit above average on Monday, 12 to 14 degrees quite widely in the
04:20southwest, but definitely feeling chilly under that area of rain and cloud as we go through
04:25the afternoon. So there is still quite a bit of uncertainty on the location of this weather
