00:00Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul are
00:04set to fight in a live boxing match streamed on Netflix Friday in what would
00:09be Tyson's first sanctioned match in nearly 20 years amid rising concerns
00:14about the 58 year old's age and safety. The fight, which is organized by Most
00:19Valuable Promotions, co-founded by Paul, is officially sanctioned by the Texas
00:23Department of Licensing and Regulation, but will have some different rules than
00:27regular matches. Both boxers will wear 14-ounce gloves instead of 10-ounce
00:32gloves. That's typical of heavyweight matches. The rounds will be two minutes
00:36instead of three, and there will be eight rounds instead of the standard 10 or 12.
00:40It was reportedly Tyson's choice for the fight to be officially sanctioned
00:44instead of an exhibition, Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nikesa Bedarian
00:48told ESPN. Paul is the favorite to win on most betting sites, with payouts on a
00:53$10 wager ranging from $14.40 to $15.33. Payouts for a Tyson bet
01:00range from $27 to $28.75 on a $10 wager. Bets are not allowed in six states, New
01:09York, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and Vermont, with some state
01:14officials saying the event was untraditional and more like an exhibition.
01:17Some have questioned the safety of the match amid concerns about Tyson's age
01:22and history of medical issues. If I was Jake Paul, I'd feel just a little bit
01:26embarrassed to be honest with you, Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Boxing CEO and one of
01:31the event's top promoters told BBC Sports last month. The match is Netflix's
01:35first foray into a major live sports event. Investors and analysts alike are
01:40watching for the turnout, as the event is expected to boost engagement and attract
01:44add-tier subs, viewers, and dollars, according to a note by JP Morgan
01:48analysts ahead of the third quarter earnings results. The event at the AT&T
01:52Stadium in Arlington, Texas, starts at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday. For more on
