Brooke Shields wants to change America's "obsession with youth"

Brooke Shields told the Fortune Global Forum that she is focused on addressing beauty standard's “obsession with youth."

00:00Youth and obsession with youth and turning back the clock, I don't think that's really ever changed.

00:06And that's what we're trying to address as well.

00:09That, you know, it's important to have that not just be the goal.

00:14It's important to feel really good about yourself.

00:17I think there's more emphasis today on individuality.

00:20Not just diversity, but individuality within our own beauty.

00:25The way we see ourselves versus the way others see us.

00:28I think that's starting to become a really important part of the conversation.

00:33Because we self-deprecate, we take down, we strip, we point out the one teeny flaw and it becomes our whole person.

00:42And I think that is changing as well.
