00:23Obviously, Christmas in the Spotlight is loosely based

00:26on the real-life romance of a celebrity couple

00:30we cannot get enough of, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

00:35I've never heard of them.

00:36You've never heard of them, right?

00:40You should ask her out.

00:43Like I would have a chance with her.

00:45I'm Drew.

00:46You're a big fan.

00:47Am I supposed to know who he is?

00:48He's the best receiver in the world.

00:51What do you think it is about their romance

00:54that people just love?

00:58I mean, I think even just alone,

01:00the fact that she's the biggest pop star in the world,

01:02he's this incredible football player,

01:05that itself, having these two stars joined together.

01:07And I think it's just really nice to see them happy.

01:09Yeah.

01:10And I think people just really love that.

01:11Especially at the height of their success.

01:13I mean, he's going for a third Super Bowl.

01:15She, gosh, the heiress to her.

01:17Yeah.

01:18She's taking over the world.

01:19Literally.

01:20It's nice too to see someone

01:23who we've all related to listening to her music

01:25and going through heartbreak,

01:26finally find that happily ever after.

01:29So our fingers are crossed for her.

01:32But how familiar were you both with their story

01:37as a couple and then also as individuals

01:39before heading into this project?

01:41Personally, I just, I mean, gosh,

01:44when you watch the Chiefs, she's there at every game.

01:46So I, but I wasn't aware of the beginning

01:49and how it first came to pass, you know?

01:51So I was kind of going in blind a little bit.

01:54Okay.

01:54I don't know about you.

01:55No, same for me.

01:56I like don't really follow football at all.

01:58So it was, you know, you obviously see it in the news.

02:00It's something that's right in front of all of us.

02:02It's everywhere.

02:03Yeah.

02:04In general, I don't like follow a lot of celebrity news,

02:06but you know, it was just so nice to see her happy

02:09and see them together.

02:09And it just feels like such a good fit,

02:11you know, from the outside.

02:13It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me.

02:18How familiar were you with Taylor's musics?

02:20Oh, I-

02:21You have to channel it.

02:22Yeah, no, a hundred percent.

02:23I am a huge fan.

02:24I went to, I saw her live when I was younger.

02:27You know, I used to, I've got so many memories

02:28when I was younger with my friends,

02:29like listening to Taylor Swift, Love Story, Our Song.

02:32Those were like my absolute faves.

02:34So yeah, I think she's incredible.

02:35I watched Error's Tour like seven times

02:37to get into the pop star spirit.

02:39That was my next question is how did you prepare

02:41to get into embodying one of the biggest pop stars

02:47in the world?

02:47Yeah, I mean, definitely watching the Error's Tour.

02:49Like I said, I watched it a few times

02:51just to really get into that spirit

02:52and I'm a dancer myself.

02:53So even just playing her music,

02:55dancing around my apartment, which is what I do anyway.

02:57So that just really helped me sort of channel that,

03:00you know, excitement to perform

03:01and just to really channel that pop star energy.

03:03It's art imitating life.

03:06Yeah.

03:06And for you too, especially playing football before,

03:09this is, I imagine that was,

03:12when you first found out about this role

03:13and you know, okay, I'm an actor, I play football.

03:17This is, I'm a shoo-in, I'm a shoo-in, right?

03:19When you first found out about this role,

03:21how excited were you knowing what you could contribute

03:24because you know, you've got that history.

03:26So this story is a little bit different, right?

03:29So technically I play a wide receiver

03:32and I don't know if you guys know this,

03:33but I am not a wide receiver size.

03:36I am about 250 pounds.

03:38So, you know, you kinda,

03:39you gotta kinda work with it a little bit

03:41and you get out on the field and you run some routes

03:43and you hope you don't look slow as molasses out there.

03:47But no, it was fun.

03:50You know, I already, I've been through that phase in my life.

03:52I've played for the Arizona Cardinals a little bit.

03:55I've played another tight end as well,

03:58Mr. Rob Gronkowski.

03:59So I know what it takes and I know the mold.

04:02So it was pretty fun to just go in there and play,

04:05you know, let loose.

04:06I have to say, I mean, I feel like Tim Tebow is next.

04:09You gotta play him next.

04:10You're a spitting image here.

04:12I mean, could we keep this train rolling?

04:14We're waiting for the biopic, baby.

04:17I love it.

04:18For you two, singing your own songs here

04:20and having original songs created for you,

04:23and now you're working on your own music.

04:24I mean, what was that experience like?

04:27I mean, in the actual movie,

04:28the music was pre-recorded before they even casted us.

04:31So there's a couple of scenes

04:33where my character's creating the music

04:34and I got to actually kinda sing a little bit

04:36and play guitar,

04:37because I grew up playing guitar for seven years

04:39when I was younger.

04:40I stopped for a little bit,

04:41but this has definitely encouraged me

04:42to tap back into music, which is really exciting.

04:45So yeah, I'm just excited to be back on that role.

04:49You know, I mentioned for him feeling like,

04:51you know, having that NFL background and whatnot,

04:54it's like, oh, I'm so born for this role.

04:57And then just hearing you say, you know,

04:58you're a dancer, you're a singer, you play guitar.

05:01It's almost like when you saw the script

05:04and you saw the prerequisites almost for this role,

05:09were you like, wow, I can do this because this is me.

05:12A hundred percent.

05:13It was like, I related to Bowen so much right off the bat,

05:15even just naturally her love for performing,

05:17her love for people, her non-profit work,

05:19like her, just her perseverance and, you know,

05:22choosing herself, like she's really strong.

05:24So I just really resonated with her right off the bat

05:26and was so excited to bring a pop star to life.

05:28Like, are you kidding?

05:29That's so much fun.

05:30That's what we all,

05:31that's what we grow up as little girls in our rooms

05:34pretending we are pop stars.

05:36Exactly, no, I know, which is just a dream come true.

05:39Honestly, I'm so grateful.

05:41And then the wardrobe too.

05:42I mean, how much fun was that to,

05:45you know, the sequined dresses and all that,

05:48but seeing the wardrobe too,

05:50how much fun did you have playing dress up?

05:51Oh my gosh, it was literally like a three hour fit in

05:53and I couldn't get enough.

05:54Like every single thing I tried on,

05:56I was so excited about,

05:57I wanted to wear every single thing I tried on.

05:58It was amazing.

05:59Like the wardrobe department killed it.

06:02They absolutely killed it, so.

06:04Well, you two killed it as well.

06:06What do you hope fans take away from watching this?

06:10I mean, I hope that it brings families together

06:12to watch a warm, you know, holiday movie.

06:14And I also hope it inspires people to persevere

06:18and fight for what they want.

06:19And, you know, just bringing people together

06:21for the holidays, I think is so special.

06:22So I'm really like,

06:24well, I think both of us are really just grateful

06:25to be part of something that can bring people together,

06:27you know?

06:28And go after love.

06:29Exactly.

06:30What about you?

06:31What do you hope fans take away?

06:32You know, I just,

06:33I take a look at the relationship in the movie

06:35and sometimes people,

06:37especially in their position,

06:40everyone's always taking.

06:41They always want something from you.

06:42And when these two people come together,

06:45it's more about what they can give to one another,

06:48which I think is what the holiday season is all about.

06:51You know, what can you give?

06:52What can you,

06:53how can you love another person,

06:55you know, selflessly?

06:56So I think it's a really great message

06:59and we have a lot of fun doing it.

07:01Ah, it's true.

07:03It's so fun.

07:04And for you two,

07:05I mean, you are a newlywed.

07:07Yes.

07:28She came to set so many times.

07:41Luckily, we did get a little honeymoon.

07:42We did Santorini and Mykonos before we shot the movie,

07:45but it was awesome.

07:48She, she comes everywhere with me.

07:50Well, we as fans will be celebrating the holidays

07:53by watching you two do the gifts at Thanksgiving.

08:07I mean, I just hope that they love it.

08:08You know, I feel like, you know,

08:10who doesn't love these lifetime holiday movies?

08:14And yeah, it brings them together,

08:16hopefully to watch another fun holiday movie.

08:19Travis and Taylor, they are bigger than life.

08:22Like unbelievable.

08:23And our movie is just a simple,

08:25humble homage to their beautiful love story.

08:29We could never recreate them.

08:31We just, we just want to tell our version.

08:33And you know, it's,

08:35our characters have a little bit of us

08:36sprinkled into it and just, you know,

08:39giving all praise to them.

08:40They're awesome.

08:41And when Taylor's tour continues, the next one,
