00:00BSWD and Office of the Civil Defense have confirmed the presence of the Ilocos Region in the upcoming typhoons in the country.

00:07Rocky Estolas-Estal and Bautista of PIA Ilocos have news for the country.

00:15Although the upcoming typhoons in the country were confirmed by the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council of Region 1,

00:24it is ready for the upcoming typhoons.

00:27The Ilocos Civil Defense in OCD-1 is still on standby

00:31and remains in close coordination with the Provincial Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices from the four provinces of Region 1.

00:40Because the typhoons are coming one after another, we are just making sure that we are ready no matter what.

00:47Initially, to mitigate the effect of our problems.

00:52We have to remind again the local chief executive,

00:56from the level of the governor, for the governor to tell his mayors in these places that they will pass

01:04for possible preventive evacuation.

01:08Equipments are ready.

01:11Our Air Force is there, our Coast Guard is there,

01:47in case the local governments need it from the 17 regional and satellite warehouses.

01:54In total, the DSWD of 73,578 family food packs, 10,037 non-food items, and 11,875 bottled water is ready.

02:06Our coordination with the DSWD Central Office is still ongoing
