2025 Acura ADX First Look: The Integra's SUV Alter Ego

Although the all-new Acura ADX has a lot in common with the Honda HR-V from a platform perspective

00:00Hi, I'm Christian Sebaugh, and let's check out the new 2025 Acura ADX together.

00:15This might be a bit of a familiar look to you, but it's an all-new model for Acura.

00:19It's joining the Integra as the SUV alternative.

00:23Acura will tell you it's based on the Integra, which is true, but it's also identical in

00:26wheelbase and profile to the HR-V, a vehicle we quite like, aside from the fact that it's

00:31a little slow.

00:32Acura's addressed that, and many other things, actually.

00:34Let's talk about under the hood.

00:361.5 liter turbocharged inline four.

00:38It's mated to a CVT, front-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive, but it should put out about

00:41200 horsepower, which is significantly more than the HR-V.

00:45It has the Acura's familiar grille.

00:47You can actually see the biggest benefit of this model.

00:51In back, much more space than the Integra.

00:55The interior of the ADX is quite familiar if you are coming from a Hyundai HR-V.

00:59One of the biggest draws, obviously, is this infotainment display has a lot of features.

01:03The screen size is standard, the software is slightly different based on what trim you

01:07get.

01:08The top spec ADX has Google built-in, so you have your Google Maps here.

01:12Obviously, if you don't want to use that, you have Android Auto, you have Apple CarPlay,

01:16both standard, both wireless.

01:19Car comes with a wireless charging pad up here.

01:21They got rid of the shift buttons, which were, honestly, kind of fiddly and annoying.

01:25Now you get a nice shift lever, and then they also added this panel here.

01:29Acura says it gives the car more of a cockpit-like feel.

01:33The ADX exists basically to be the bottom end of the Acura STD lineup.

01:37The marketing slogan you're going to hear is that Acura will cover you from A to Z,

01:41ADX to the electric ZDX.

01:43That being said, there's actually kind of a lot of value to be had here.

01:46It's about an inch shorter than an RDX, but also about $10,000 cheaper, which is a lot

01:51of pocket change.

01:52You get a lot of space, you get a lot of style, and you get a lot of value.

01:56Competitors in this segment, they start at about $40,000 or so, and they're not anywhere

02:00near as well-equipped as these loaded examples behind me, which are about $40,000.

02:05Acura, in all seriousness, seems pretty well-positioned to keep building on that success of the Integra

02:09with the new ADX.
