00:00It's been significant disruptions as a result of this volcano ash.
00:06Now this has followed eruptions from the Mount Luatobi volcano, which when it initially erupted
00:10did unfortunately kill nine people.
00:13Now Virgin has this morning confirmed that it's cancelled all flights in and out of the
00:16Dempsey Airport for today, November 13, saying that the safety of its passengers and of course
00:21its crew too is its highest priority.
00:24Now it says that it regrets the inconvenience that this has caused passengers and says that
00:28the team is working hard to ensure that all passengers are able to get to their destination
00:33both as quickly as possible but also as safely as possible.
00:36Meanwhile Jetstar says it's not currently safe to operate flights in and out of Bali
00:40so it's cancelled those flights into and out of the Dempsey Airport until 2pm eastern time
00:45today.
00:46Now it says that impacted customers have been notified and that alternative options have
00:49been provided to them and Jetstar does say that depending on the conditions of that ash
00:54later today it is still hoping to operate two return services between Australia and
00:58Bali which would include a 787 to hopefully get people to their destination as soon as
01:03possible.
