00:00Hello my name's Steve Corliss and I'm happy to announce the arrival of my sixth book,
00:05my first full-length novel and it's about Robin, an updated Robin, a digital Robin,
00:11bringing everything up to the present day with catfishing, with equity release that goes wrong,
00:16all the modern day problems and Robin solves them with the aid of his amulet. You see the amulet in
00:22the picture on the cover. I've been lucky enough to get Shirley Combs to write the forward. Shirley
00:28Combs. So I'm really pleased with this. The launch will be at U3A on the 20th, Wigan U3A at
00:36Crooked Club at their meeting. I'm really looking forward to that. I've had some good reports already
00:42and well it's going well so if you'd like a copy just find me on Facebook and there I'll
00:49get one to you. Right meanwhile let me talk about the other bits I've done. My first one was about
00:56my career at RAF Halton. I started out as an apprentice. Two years I did there and so there's
01:02a lot of funny stories about when you're 16 to 18. Moving on to working on the Hercules.
01:09That was at RAF Cologne near Bath. It's closed now. I don't think it's because of me it's closed.
01:14It's just closed. Then I went out to Germany working on the Harrier and it was a very tense
01:22time. Their world peace clock was at 5 to 12. So it was a very tense time but an enjoyable time
01:30and so you'll find a lot about it if you read that. Then I did a lot of time on
01:39self-confidence. I read a lot of books. Jack Cansfield sent Confidence. Susan Harris. It was a
01:44bit of a low point for me but I read all these books and I realised that self-confidence is all
01:49about believing in yourself and doing something. People say to me I could write a book. I say well
01:56do it then. Write a book. Just write slowly and then type it all up. I'll type it up help you.
02:03Then Five Lies is a copy of Five Lies. There's five short stories all about different people
02:14and how they cope with things. One where he dreams he's been in a past life
02:20in China so he goes back to China and discovers that in fact he has. So that's Five Lies.
02:31Liquor Women. Now Liquor Women is 48 poems about the gentler sex.
02:37So the 48 poems are all about ladies and most of them are a bit amusing.
