00:00Me, personally, yeah, because I might be biased, but I'm joining the army soon, so it's important
00:08to me and my dad was in the army, so it's quite an emotional day for me, especially
00:15when I go up to Santa Taf and stuff on Remembrance Sunday. Yeah, it gets me emotional. So, yeah,
00:24I think it should be more important to people.
00:27Yeah, I think you're right. It's to commemorate loss, isn't it? Not celebrate winning. No
00:32one wins a war, you know? So many people die. No one wins that.
00:37And also, you know, because I know we've had the First World War, Second World War, then
00:42we had Afghanistan, we had the Falklands. I mean, I'm not British, but still, I think
00:49it's very important for all those young men and women that go to war in all the countries,
00:55not just in the UK, but around Europe.
01:00It's not those two conflicts that we all knew over the past 10, 15 years, but yeah,
01:05there's British troops, there's service people from every nation, our allies who are still
01:09in danger, but yeah, I mean, quite rightly, people have their everyday worries to think
01:14about, so yeah, maybe it's not quite as visible in the news, but I think on the whole, if
01:18you speak to people, they will sort of bring up stories about people they know, family
01:21and that sort of thing.
01:22Not very much, I think it's good that we recognise it for our local communities or
01:27what they sacrifice and everything else, so I think it's very important that the 11 o'clock,
01:31I know for our businesses, that we all stopped as well, so it's, we're very passionate about
01:36it, so the families and history that we've had, so very proud of it.
01:40Yeah, I'm a veteran, I served for eight years in the British Army, so I'm proud to have
01:44completed a couple of operational tours and I've seen the cost of serving, but yeah, I
01:48still think it's incredibly worthwhile and something, you know, the modern world needs
01:52more and more, but yeah, it's important, I think, all days, but especially today, to
01:56take a moment and think about those who've given everything.
