00:00It's our other top 20 tilt in the Southeastern Conference on
00:06this Saturday. Number three Georgia in the CFP rankings
00:10taking on Ole Miss who checks in inside the top 20. Of course
00:15the running Rebs have two losses. Georgia only one
00:18against Alabama and speaking of one Kev the line is working
00:23down. It was two and a half in favor of UGA yesterday on this
00:28game day Saturday morning just a point and a half. Are you
00:32surprised albeit on the road in the Grove to see the Bulldogs
00:36as only a point and a half favorite near a pick them price
00:39against the Rebels. So Lacey was with me on game time on Monday
00:42night when I saw this line and I was stopped dead in my tracks
00:47and essentially went silent for the final two minutes of the
00:49show, which isn't the best TV. It's good. They're having some
00:51issues with sound when you're working. Yeah. No, it's
00:53comparable to playing cop videos in the middle of a
00:56breakdown. I I could not believe the number it really
01:01threw me for a loop and now the more I dive into the game you
01:06see that Ole Miss has been treated with a lot of respect
01:07in the market factor in home field advantage and okay fine.
01:12Let's throw the number out and let's just take a look at who
01:16Ole Miss is who Ole Miss has been under Lane Kiffin who
01:19Georgia is who Georgia's been over Kirby smart and this is
01:24Bulldogs by a billion right now. Everybody is selling
01:27Carson Beck and therefore they're selling the Georgia
01:30Bulldogs. Georgia still boasts what is comfortably one of the
01:33ten best defenses in college football most likely higher
01:36than that, but we'll call it ten to keep it easy. Georgia has
01:40one loss this year was at Alabama. They trailed by 21 and
01:44took a fourth quarter lead in the game. Texas the unstoppable
01:48favorites at one point to win a national championship showed up
01:52and found out the SEC ain't sweet and got doubled up in
01:55their own building. People still focusing on Beck picks in
01:58that game. Okay. Beckton has a nightmare against Florida hand
02:02up. If Glagway doesn't get injured, Gators might have
02:05actually pulled off the upset, but he did back found his
02:08rhythm. Georgia's defense went bully mode. They won the game
02:11by fourteen. Here's I think the simple story on Georgia if
02:15Carson Beck, who is a pedigree quarterback who's been playing
02:19at the level for too long finds his level Georgia rolls. He is
02:23now averaging 1.6 yards per pass attempt less year over
02:28year completion percentages dropped 7%. He's nearly doubled
02:32his interceptions from last year to this year. I don't think
02:36that continues. Maybe you do. I don't Carson Beck to me is too
02:40good, which means when Beck finds his level, Georgia's right
02:44back to being what they always are the very best team in
02:47college football and Ole Miss has never ever shown the
02:52ability to hang much less beat those teams. I can only love
02:58Georgia in this game. Joe. Yeah, I don't I like Georgia. I
03:02don't love them and there's a lot of factors not to love
03:05Georgia this year and you bring up back right in in regards to
03:08his productivity and lack of turning the football over back
03:12to back games six interceptions, but you look at
03:15Georgia from an offensive perspective last year. 50%
03:18third down conversions this year 38% third down conversions
03:22the tight end type of productivity with Lawson Lucky
03:25and Oscar Delt 21 receptions this year. Very mediocre. Why
03:30is that important? Well, Brock Powers led the team at
03:32receptions last year. There is no security blanket and
03:35possibly when you look at Ole Miss offense averaging 377
03:40passing yards per game. They have the more consistent
03:43quarterback coming and heading into this matchup with Jackson
03:47Dots 71% 21 touchdowns three interceptions and oh by the
03:51way one of the best rush defenses in all of college
03:54football holding opposing offenses to 82 rushing yards
03:57per game 29% third down conversions. Kev I agree with
04:02everything you said and I like Georgia, but this is a no play
04:05for me simply because again I do have concerns about Carson
04:09Beck. I want to see this first quarter play out. I might jump
04:12in from an in-game perspective, but as a Bulldog fan in the
04:16backyard, I'd be very hesitant because of this line.
