00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, is ready to help the affected residents of Bagyong Marsi.
00:09According to the DSWD Assistant Secretary, Spokesperson Irene Dunglao, in the new program of the Philippines,
00:16there is no shortage of relief goods in affected areas and there are also those who are prepositioned.
00:23They are also helped by various government agencies to speed up the distribution of food packs.
00:28Like other countries, like Singapore, volunteers continue to assist their operations center.
00:35We want to help our countrymen, especially those who are in the northern tip of our country,
00:43in Cagayan, Apayaw, Ilocos Norte, and other parts of Region 1, Region 2, and CAR.
00:51The national government, and of course the DSWD, under the leadership of Secretary Miguel Echallan,
00:58is here to speed up the resources of your local government units.
01:03We have those who are prepositioned with family food packs in other municipalities and other places.
01:09There are also additional food packs that are currently in transit to add these family food packs that are prepositioned.
01:18More than 200,000 family food packs are prepositioned in those areas that I've mentioned.
01:25But we are sending additional. We have sent additional 40,000 plus to Region 1.
01:32There are also 10,000 family food packs from Benguet Province.
01:37They are prepositioned in our warehouse that is directed to Region 2.
01:41There are also food packs, around 3,000, that are prepositioned in Calinga,
01:49but will be brought to Cagayan to add those food packs that are prepositioned.
01:56We are sure that we will be able to provide assistance to those affected in our country.
