00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD, is ready to help the affected residents of Bagyong Marse.
00:09According to DSWD Assistant Secretary Spokesperson Irene Dumlao, in the program Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon,
00:16they have no choice but to distribute relief goods to the affected areas, and there are already prepositions.
00:23They are also being helped by various government agencies to quickly distribute family food packs to other countries, such as Singapore.
00:32Volunteers continue to help their operation center.
00:38Our countrymen, especially those in the northern tip of our country,
00:45in Cagayan, Bayao, Ilocos Norte, and other parts of Region 1, Region 2, and CAR,
00:52the national government, and of course the DSWD, under the leadership of Secretary Miguel Echallan,
01:00are here to distribute the resources that the local government needs.
01:05We have prepositions of family food packs in various municipalities and areas.
01:10There are also additional food packs that are currently in transit
01:17to be added to the prepositions.
01:20More than 200,000 family food packs are prepositioned in those areas that I've mentioned.
01:27But we are sending additional.
01:30We've sent additional 40,000 plus to Region 1.
01:33There are also 10,000 family food packs from Benguet province.
01:39Those are prepositions in our warehouse that are directed to Region 2.
01:43There are also food packs, around 3,000, that are prepositioned in Kalinga,
01:50but will be brought to Cagayan to add those prepositioned goods.
01:58We are happy to send assistance to those affected in our country.
02:04Again, we would like to assure the public that the national government, through the DSWD, is ready.
