Call for action as average central London bus speed falls below 7mph

Bus speeds have fallen below 7mph in parts of central London, a report by the capital’s travel watchdog has revealed.London TravelWatch said the Transport for London bus network needs “urgent improvement” to tackle a long-term decline in passengers and delays to journeys resulting from a city-wide speed of 9mph.
