00:00More from the PSA, the Philippine Statistics Authority revised upward

00:03the Gross Domestic Product or GDP growth rate for the second quarter

00:07of 2024. Based on the information gathered by the Philippine News Agency,

00:12PSA adjusted its GDP estimate to 6.4 percent from 6.3 percent. The major contributors to

00:19upward revision were manufacturing, which grew by 3.9 percent, and accommodation and food services

00:26that went up from 10.4 percent to 12.1 percent. Moreover, real estate and ownership of dwellings,

00:34which rose from 7.2 percent to 7.6 percent, also contributed to the upward revision.
