Was it the right call for Shrewsbury to sack Paul Hurst?

00:06Maybe. And then you see, judged by his comments, obviously questioning players' desire. I think

00:10when it gets to that point, you're kind of onto a bit of a loser in modern football.

00:17Was there any feeling about it? Or for you, is it something that's just come really out of the blue?

00:23Well, I don't think you can say it's come out of the blue, because they've got eight points

00:26from 14 games and you've seen other managers around at a similar level.

00:30But it's going into different, unique situations in terms of Hurst.

00:35Yeah, Hurst got credit in the bank, hasn't he? In terms of that, from that perspective. So,

00:40did it come as a surprise? Well, I wasn't warned or told to expect it. So, in that respect, yes.

00:51But did it come as a surprise? I don't know. I think the thing with football is expect the

01:01unexpected and that things can change at any moment. You've got to expect the unexpected.

01:13And I think that ahead of a huge game against Burton Albion this weekend,

01:18they've clearly decided to make the change. And probably based on that,

01:23based on deciding to make the change, you would have thought they're probably going

01:26to want to get somebody in before that game. If you're going to get rid of Paul Hurst,

01:32then you would have thought that that's the thinking behind it anyway.
