00:35in Liblib Municipality of San Miguel, Surigao del Sur
00:38are in danger of stopping their studies because of poverty.
00:42They were made beneficiaries of the Supplementation Feeding Program
00:46provided by Nutri-Pak Snacks
00:48and free hot meals.
00:51The Supplementation Feeding Program is free of charge
00:53and is supported by thirty-four students who live in remote areas
00:58until the end of this school year.
01:01The Lahutay-Tungha Program
01:02was designed to support the growing support of students
01:06who are in danger of stopping their studies
01:09who are also known as students, pupils at risk of dropping out, or Sardo at Pardo.
01:14This program aims to provide holistic intervention
01:18addressing those various factors
01:21influencing students at risk of dropping out.
01:24Our efforts focus on supporting the mental health wellness,
01:29the physical well-being,
01:31enhancing the academic performance,
01:34as well as the socioeconomic challenges of our learners.
01:41Because of the successful implementation of the program,
01:44DepEd Surigao del Sur announced
01:46that it will expand the program to ten additional schools in the province
01:50that have a high dropout rate this school year.
01:54With the help of partners in the program,
01:56DepEd Surigao del Sur has great confidence
01:59that Lahutay-Tungha will be sustainable
02:01and will continue to provide holistic intervention
02:04not only addressing the academic needs of students,
02:10but also their socioeconomic needs.
02:13And they will be able to finish their studies
02:16and have a bright future.
