00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is pushing the whole-of-nation approach
00:04in the administration's pursuit of the recovery of the victims of the calamity.
00:08Alvin Baltazar, Radyo Pilipinas, with the country's latest news.
00:14In the midst of the ongoing and seemingly never-ending typhoons in the country,
00:19President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced that the government is not willing to support
00:24the needs of our fellow countrymen who have been affected by the calamities.
00:29According to the President, not only the government agencies are joining forces and helping,
00:35but even those in the private sector are willing to support those affected.
00:42So, if there is a whole-of-government approach,
00:45now, according to the President, there is also a whole-of-nation approach.
00:49All of these are ready to help, according to the Chief Executive,
00:52they are willing to accept and they will be included in the middle of the goal of helping
00:57the many who will recover from the calamity of the typhoon.
01:03Like what I said, it's different from what you see on television,
01:06what you hear on the radio, what you read in the reports,
01:10but they need to know what our fellow countrymen are going through.
01:16And even on the weekend yesterday,
01:18the President visited our fellow countrymen who were affected by the Typhoon Marce in Cagayan
01:22and in Ilocos Norte with their three presidential sons,
01:26Congressmen Sandro Marcos, Simon, and Vinnie Marcos,
01:29who according to P. E. Cotibo,
01:31were there and volunteered to see the condition of our fellow countrymen.
01:36According to the Chief Executive, it's good to see for yourself what our fellow countrymen are going through.
01:44It's different from what you see on television, what you hear on the radio,
01:48what you read in the reports.
01:51These are my sons, they volunteered, they will go, that's why I included them.
01:55Like what we are saying, with the private sector,
01:59it means that it's a whole of nation approach,
02:02not just the government.
02:03If not, we are including all those who are ready to help
02:07to help our fellow countrymen.
02:10In the President's visit to Pagud Food, Ilocos Norte,
02:14he prioritized the distribution of P50 million in financial assistance from the Office of the President
02:20while there is also financial assistance of P20 million from DOLE,
02:25P80 million and support from various government agencies such as BFAR,
02:31DSWD, NIA, and the Department of Agriculture.
02:35I am pleased with the efforts of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
02:41From Palacio, Malacanang, Alvin Baltazar of Radyo Pilipinas for Balitang Pambansa.
